It'll be fun to push Al's buttons on the air but be careful folks, it's looked like Al Franken has come dangerously close to having a stroke in some of his confrontations with conservatives.

Let's take a look at the new lineup for WLIB.

Mornings. It's Mario in the Morning. Ex-Govenor Cuomo regales us with stories about how he screwed every minority group once elected and how he did it for 8 years. Life Span of show, 2 months

10-12 Lynn Samuels. Drones on about pro-choice and other womens issues in that whiny voice. Life span of show? Till network folds.

12-3 Yuk it up with Al Franken. Al will entertain with skits about GW speaking in german and quote from his bok Lies and the liars that lie while lying about their lies.
Life Span of show, 1 month


3-6 More Moorer. This windbag of a commy will finally get the opportunity to have a talk show. First day he will hang up on 400 callers and call anyone that is a republican a facist. He will then say that the 400 people he hung up on violated his free speech because other callers could not get through. Life Span of show, 3 weeks

6-9 Streisand music. While everyone is at the Bush bashing rally, old Streisand tunes will play. After realizing that the demographic is 17-25 Stresiand is replaced by Metallica. Learning that Metallica will not get any royalties from this, they sue the station for 50 mil. Program manager calls it a neocon conspiracy and gets interviewed on CNN.

9-12 Charlie Rangel Speaks. Political commentary from uncle Charley. Will get to explain to his audience why his constituency are some of the poorest people in America and he is wearing Versace and lives in the burbs. Life Span of show, Till network folds or he has to show up to congressional sessions.

Overnights - After getting word that they do not qualify for public funding, WLIB cancels overnight broadcasting. A major lawsuit ensues and the ACLU files motion that this violates the stations right to free speech. 9th circuit agrees and forces the government to fund the station who promply replay Al Franken and Moorer's show and pockets the change. Immediately following that, libs rail at the Bush administration for wasting the taxpayers money. A week before the election in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme court overturns the circuit courts decision. The ACLU and Moveon.org call this a travesty to American justice. Tom Daschele says he is deeply saddened by this.

Two days after the election the network folds.

Hillary's book sold well because yes there were libs who wanted to "do their duty" to defend her name. She also did a substantial signing tour (with many signed copies then going on sale at eBay or Bookfinder). Librarians did their part to buy in quantity (over 50 copies for Houston). It also presented a convenient way to hide a payoff "I'll take x number of books".

The Dixie Chicks were the ones who had libs buying their albums even though they hated country music. There were even libs who admitted to such behavior.

Yes, the DNC was able to inflate Hillary's books sales by buying mass quantities to give away to donors, but the DNC can't artificially inflate a talk show's listenership the same way. For Franken's show to go anywhere, people will really have to spend time suffering his unfunny rant and arrogance.

I suspect even Liberals can only take the bore Franken in limited doses.
