During Vietnam this sort of despicable crap used to be common currency. I used to find it infuriating to hear from people too young to be there that abuse of servicemen never happened at the time, that it was all self-pitying exaggeration. It was nothing of the sort. Take a good look at this picture and understand that the people capable of it are more than capable of spitting on a returning soldier.

A couple of weeks ago, a FReeper named txradioguy brought it to the Canteen's attention.
Why does that matter to the rest of the world? Cause he's currently stationed in Iraq. He found it and members of the Canteen and others decided to put a full out blitz on writing to Time and every other organization possible. So? I'd say that we need to do it again to make sure they get the message.
Make sure to read the comments posted with the picture. There are a few FReepers that went over there to give them a piece of their mind.
We did not post the picture in the Canteen.
