Not only was "regime change" in Iraq the policy of the two prior Administrations, CONGRESS had passed a law stating this as US policy, BEFORE this President Bush was elected. So the statement in this book is both stupid and dishonest.

However, the more pathetic part is anyone in the press takes this charge seriously. Weren't they alive and reading the Internet prior to the election of Bush? If so, they know this charge is false. Oh, but it's a charge against Bush.

Speaking for the American press, we CAN'T treat any charge against Bush as false, now can we?

Not only is CBS constantly promoting this during the football game, it was the lead story during the newsbreak on public radio I was listening to. They also keep repeating the "Bush was like a blind man in a room full of deaf people," as if that quote even means anything.

Somehow, I can't recall any former Clinton Administration official getting anywhere near the press when they had bad things to say about Bill or Hill.

You had to read FR or Newsmax for instantce, if you wanted to hear Dick Morris' story about Hillary's anger at the "f#*king Jew bastards."

I think this O'Neill book is, like most liberal things in recent memory, going to ring false with the American people. I'm sure the DNC will snap up alot of copies to make it look like a bestseller, but more people will look at this as some kind of warped attack on Bush.

Most people, IMHO, even those that didn't vote for Bush, grudgingly agree that he's handled 911 and its aftermath quite well

And with the economy chugging to life his numbers should get even better. His domestic priority is freeing the economy for growth. Maybe another tax cut?

I recall seeing a thread the other day that his last cut was too small: government receipts were too high

Paradoxically, if there are no major attacks or arrests by late summer, the Libs may claim 'the war is won, time to focus on jobs' and look for a footing that way

Ideal scenario would be the discovery of Bin Laden's DNA (a drop or two would suffice) in a smoking pile of embers along about July

My only hope is that Dean keeps talking. He's great.

He attacked Microsoft with more enthusiasm and more money than he did to defend against Al Quaida.

Clinton went after Bill Gates, perhaps the nations' first or second greatest philanthropist, with no regard to his own safety -what a brave president!

Clinton was offered Bin Laden on "a silver platter" more than once, but didn't know what to do.

Such a great leader.......and soooo intelligent.

Nope, Clinton was none of the above!
