Resignation comes as city settles suit over her 'hate group' comments.

Debbie Reyes announced her resignation through an e-mail that was read Thursday evening at the commission meeting.

Thanks for the ping. Gosh, there are so many statements on this thread that are based on misinformation. I wish I could respond to them all, but I am pressed for time today.

That Castillo is a class A jerk, isn't he? Like one person said, "pretty cocky for someone who just got his a$$ handed to him". LOL.

I also wished that people realized that FR had no desire to take money from the "people of Fresno". All cities have insurance to cover cases where a city official makes libelous accusations like this. My feelings from the beginning has been that there must be consequences for this type of behavior from our elected/appointed officials and representatives. A slap on the wrist just was not enough to get the City of Fresno to understand that this is entirely unacceptable.

Not bad, but... gee, the speeding tickets would be pretty rough. On the other hand, I'd like to get this:

Thanks Gracie, I wondered about the ex freeper post too. I certainly had no knowledge of that. It was the peaceful ones who did this. Unless there is something we don't know?

Yes, now call me a hate group, so I may call my lawyer, and have a down payment by noon. Hurry up, dammit.

Are there enough of you to qualify as a group?

With or without the little voices? (c8

I suppose that depends on the number of voices.

What is the threshold to qualify as a 'group'?

Hmm. Do IRS regulations define thresholds for a "group," "cabal," "shadowy organization," or "vast right-wing conspiracy?"

Hmm. Maybe we can have Don JimRob.

Particularly true, since our members are generally far better armed, and trained in the use of firearms, than the general population.

I have no doubt that they have also been frequenting the AF sites for ammo as well. I do know that they were licking their chops over the prospect of this going to trial and FR being "exposed as the hate site it is".

Well their bubble just got burst.

Good luck with that new career!

There is a nondisclosure clause.

I am not a California lawyer, so I won't offer any suggestion on how it be done, but I bet Mr. Castillio could be brought to the point where he "clarified" his remarks.

She was being spoonfed the information by a disgruntled ex-Freep who was savvy enough to know what kind of person would want to use the info against FR

Geez, how disgusting. This ex-freeper should be crucified as well. What a strange way to show revenge. How smart of FR and Jim to file a law suit against this leftist bimbo.

One would think that the Fresno taxpayers have the right to know how much the leftist Reyes cost them.
