God must be confused

To listen to Howard Dean, you would have to conclude that God is confused.

It's not Howard Dean who doesn't understand unambiguous statements in both the Old Testament and the New Testament on the immorality of homosexuality. It's got to be God who is confused.

In his quest for the highest office in the land, the Democratic candidate said this week that his decision to sign the bill legalizing civil unions for homosexuals in Vermont was influenced by his Christian faith – a faith he recently decided to unveil to the public in what he himself described as a bid to get votes in the South.

"The overwhelming evidence is that there is very significant, substantial genetic component to it," he said – meaning homosexuality. "From a religious point of view, if God had thought homosexuality is a sin, he would not have created gay people."

So, there you have it, God either made a big mistake or he needs some of Howard Dean's wisdom and counsel to straighten Him out.

There can be no other conclusion drawn, because the Scriptures are clear on the issue of homosexuality.

Here's what it says in Leviticus 18: 22-30 (KJV):

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.

Interestingly, Dean's theory that homosexuality has a genetic component is thoroughly refuted by the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:18-27 (KJV):

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Nevertheless, Dean ignores what Christians view as "God's Word" and professes to be wiser than God, just as the Apostle Paul warned – changing the truth of God into a lie and worshipping the creature more than the Creator.

"My view of Christianity ... is that the hallmark of being a Christian is to reach out to people who have been left behind," he claims. "So I think there was a religious aspect to my decision to support civil unions."

Once again, Howard Dean is creating his own religion, not following the tenets of Christianity. The one and only "hallmark" of being a Christian is following Christ – in word and deed.

Did being a doctor with Planned Parenthood prepare Howie to receive this revelation?

"The overwhelming evidence is that there is very significant, substantial genetic component to it," he [Dean] said -- meaning homosexuality.

The opposite is true. There is no evidence showing a genetic link to homosexuality. The feeble attempts to establish such a link have been decisively discredited.

I'm not sure where Dean would do the most harm -- in politics or in medicine.

Nikita Dean is a study in spiritual confusion.

When H Dean turned Vermont into sodomite sancturary he never once mentioned God or the Lord Jesus Christ in any of his speeches affirming his affection for his pro sodomite views...

His re-visionist presentations of his own career are humorous...as the truth doesnt seem to allude him as much as he is able to fashion it into his percieved needs of the moment...

A tad too unstable to be leader of the greatest nation on the earth...(at this time)

Hillary & Billary have gotta be smelling blood in the water...

imo

Yet another reason why it is absolutely impossible to be an active Christian and an active Democrat.

I'm actually very glad Dean is saying what he feels. It will be nice to see how Democrats respond to this point of view. I like it when the government takes a definite stand against Christianity. It strengthens the Church.

Yes, indeed; however, many in American today do not know sound doctrine and will believe a "compassionate" liberal like Howard Dean. He will probably lose in the end, but many will embrace his liberal philosophy.

"My view of Christianity ... is that the hallmark of being a Christian is to reach out to people who have been left behind," he claims.

So by Dean's theology, Christians must 'reach out' to pederasts, bestialists, Saddam, Hitler, etc.
