Check Out Lou Dobbs on CNN Cable right now – he’s really tearing into the Illegal Alien Amnesty of Bush!

If you’re not tuned in, check it out right now, Lou Dobb’s on CNN Cable is really hitting the pertinent points regarding illegal aliens as well as the Bush amnesty. If you missed it, hopefully it will re-air later tonight, on CNN cable. I believe this man truly is a fighter and advocate for the interests of the workers and labor in this country the USA – he is asking very direct questions about the problems of illegal immigration from Mexico, and though he may be a Democrat he presents the news in a superb manner, in this case brings an exciting and significant forum of news events discussion and coverage (Faceoff on CNN, as well as other CNN programs featuring this host). He really got my blood going, he was right on and no fan of illegal immigration.

I don’t want to hear the Mahatma Gandhi insult/quote from Hillary again, not even from the so-called conservative shows/hosts. There is only one issue to cover, and that is the Buffalo that Bush has pulled on all conservatives and Americans. You know, some folks say the Democratic Party is dead. Maybe so. But, maybe not, in that, I would wager, if some Democratic candidate, spokesperson, politician (with a D next to the name) went back to early Democratic Party roots, and focused on the interests of American workers, that is hit on the issues of exporting American jobs to India et all, off shore outsourcing, and yes, what the invasion of illegal aliens from South of the Border is doing to undercut living wage jobs in the USA for labor, I would predict this person would rise like a comet, a meteor, and could very well take the White House. Would the Democratic Party make such a swing away from the left “progressive” wing to become a party that advocates American Workers First? I think it is possible, not immediate, but possible, and probable to come. It’s all a matter of which party gets on this wave first – the Republicans or the Democrats. I predict, that will be the Party that will sweep America. Don’t think so?

I think so. I think that these issues, Made in America, Jobs in USA, American Workers First, illegal aliens, Bush type amnesty, exporting American jobs, offshore outsourcing, are, and will become even more, THE issues of the next four to eight years, and more.

I am outraged by Buffalo Bush.

How dare that man say that I would not do the jobs, any job it takes, to put food on the table of my family. How dare that man say such a thing. That I am a lazy American, and the only Mexicans who come here illegally have the character to do a job, any job, to put food on the table for their family. He can go to Mexico and not come back. My forefathers lived in a wooden box pulled by a horse with a canvas for a roof called a horse drawn wagon, to go somewhere, to put food on the table. My forefathers worked in dirty mines, chucking broken quartz and rock into wagons, to put food on the table. I will do the job, I will get up on someone’s roof and put up shingles, I will paint a wall, I will pick up garbage, to put food on the table for my family. I am an American. And I am proud. And I have the character to do anything it takes. How DARE this President say I won’t do the job it takes if that is what it takes to put food on the table for my family. How DARE he say that. I am an American. I will work. My character, and the character of my forefathers, brought the FREEDOM of this nation, not some illegal alien from Mexico. I will put MY character up against them any day, any place.

Against any one.

Including you, Mr. Bush.

Bush like so many others that want to serve the country, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Things do look different from the ivory towers.

Bush was the "lesser of two evils" (figure of speech). I knew when I voted for him in 2000 that he could pull something like this but Gore would have too, only worst. Its now up to our congressmen and women to put a stop to this nonsense. This is where the battle is going to be fought. Bush has little to fear in 2004 from the rats because they are all so radical and pathic. Its a different story in the congress.

"If he's being honest he belongs on FNC, preferably to replace tabloid lawyer Gretta."

See if you can arrange to have Lou come over to Fox and Gretta return to her liberal roots.

I can see right through Gret every time she opens her mouth.

I actually see good in the immigration plan.

For one, instead of lots of illegals being here, sort of anonymously, with no one knowing who they are, or where they are, we will have a system to "register" them, and I think this could help in our HS issues.

Will it keep out terrorists, probably not because a terrorist doesn't get a job, their means of support comes from their organizations. The people that will be registering are probably going to be hard working people, that desire to be legit, but up to this time have not been able to be.

My husband was a Canadian citizen and held a green card, and I know the hassle it is to deal with the INS (he did become naturalized and is now a US citizen). I also know people avoid the INS because it is such a hassle.

If there were a way to more easily register with the US government (and I'm not sure how the President's plan would work), I'm all for that.

I've heard folks on here who came to this country and "did it legally" saying they are disgusted by the fact that someone would now be able to do it by taking some shortcut. (I think the fact of the matter is they're probably dealing with a big of jealousy, or the old adage, "I pulled myself up by my own bootstraps, so why can't the next guy.")

Well, if they "did it legally", then they know how hard it was to fill out the mounds of paperwork, and record all the dates they've ever been in or out of the country, and produce the "proof" that the INS at present demands.

My husband and I are both college educated, yet we labored for days over the forms, piecing together trips abroad from old passports, etc.

I'm all for a simplification of the system, and any system to keep track of illegal aliens is IMHO better than no system (which is what we have right now.)

Rush, Hannity and Savage are just pissed that Bush just balkanized the GOP majority for the next 50 years and that the Stupid Party outstrategeried itself yet again.

I knew when I voted for him in 2000 that he could pull something like this

What did he pull?

The illegals were already here, now he gets their relatives living here legally to vote Republican and puts a stake in the heart of the Democrats in the process.

I'm not quite sure I see the harm in this.

Did you ever imagine that a Democrat president would deport the aliens?

A democrat would have given them citizenship

Doubt there are any jobs in Mexico that you would want..:)

I don't know, I'm freezing where I live.

I wouldn't mind breezing into Mexico and taking an office job for a few months in the winter.

The funny part is that the Mexicali's guard their southern border and will not let Guatemalans etc. come in to Mexico.

LOL, they must be laughing their butts off at el presidente Bush.

Dobbs is just pissed that Bush just sowed up a GOP majority for the next 50 years and that the RNC oustmarted the rats yet again.

Don't bet the farm on that.

GWB alienated a minumum of 10,000,000 of his conservative base by supporting this issue. GWB is President by a slim margin of about 600 Florida votes. GWB's pandering lost him more votes than it gained him. Bet the farm on that; it is a sure thing.

There is still hope that the Legislature won't pass it.

Please! Yo people act as if these illegal aliens were manning nuclear missiles or something. Give me a break! So what if some yards didn't get mowed or toilets scrubbed. Wages would adjust and some of our unemployed would get work.

You obviously have no idea what percentage of our labor force is now or has at one time been illegal immigrants. It would shut entire industries down overnight. Economically, it is a stupid idea.

Would be barely enough to buy some tequila here, the money you would make in Mexico for a few months. Why do you think they try to come here...:)

Potus just spoke today. Arent you being a bit facetious in throwing out numbers like this. This is not a done deal you know.. not by a long shot. The president proposes and congress legislates. That is how it always has been and doubt this is going to get anywhere in Congress

No matter how far Bush bends over he won't get a majority of the Hispanic vote.

He doesn't NEED a majority of Hispanic voters.

A mere increment of 10% of the Hispanic vote in Florida would have turned the 2000 Presidential election from a squeaker to no contest.

As it was, it was close enough to tempt Algore to attempt to manufacture enough dimpled chads to win.

So the details of this measure will be left to the Senate and House.

Of the 8 million some illegals in this country I wonder how many of them have verifiable long term living wage jobs. Contrary to what activists and RATS say about all illegal being able to support themselves and contributing to the economy I don't believe that 30% can qualify as having a guaranteed job or a consistent job history.

I wonder how many employers will be sued for giving jobs Americans want to immigrants under this plan?
