Bush to Give Illegals SS Benefits January 06 2004 03:29:00 PM EST
President Bush is set to present his immigration proposal Wednesday. WASHINGTON, Jan 06, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- President Bush wants to let some of the eight million illegal aliens in the United States move toward legal status without penalty -- but with benefits. His proposals, part of a sweeping change in U.S. immigration policy, will be revealed Wednesday, the Washington Times reported.
Bush will propose that illegal aliens from Mexico, and possibly other countries, who pay U.S. Social Security taxes, but provide false identification numbers, be allowed to collect benefits.
"The president has long talked about the importance of having an immigration policy that matches willing workers with willing employers," said White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan Monday.
The plan is expected to be opposed by Republicans on Capitol Hill, but it will be embraced by Mexican President Vicente Fox when he meets Bush during a Jan. 12-14 meeting in Monterrey, Mexico.
The changes have long been advocated by Fox, whose close relationship with Bush has been strained since border security efforts were beefed up after the Sept. 11 attacks and since Mexico refused to support the U.S.-led war in Iraq.
Fox said the plan would allow Mexicans "to go and come each year as many times as they want, without problems, so that they can work with documents in the United States."

Our household supported Alan Keyes in the last election, and would do so again. While I can't see a Democrat successfully fighting terrorism, W's policies here at home are dismantling the country. We don't need terrorists to lose the war with this kind of leadership.

...who pay U.S. Social Security taxes, but provide false identification numbers
Regardless of the fact that I must be in bizzaro world....
How could\does this work ? I've heard about multiple illegals using the same SS number...but how does a "false" number get used and get by SS administration ? Doesn't SS know what numbers they've assigned ?
How would an illegal prove that he/she was THE one that paid into SS ?
Think this is bad ? Wait until Pres. Bush then proposes "dual SS eligibility" between the US & Mexico...where Mexican citizens, working in Mexico can be eligible for U.S. Social Seurity. it's gunna get uglier and uglier.

That's nice. But your a damned fool if you can't see that it's true.
You might hate this policy. But if you folks, in a fit of pique, go out and get Howard Dean or someone elected, you'll be doing nothing less than committing treason.

A vote for Howard Dean is a vote for the death of millions of Americans. Please back up that idiotic statement. (Not that I intend to give that moron my vote either)
Since a vote for anyone other than Bush becomese, in essence, a vote for the Democrat- anyone not voting for Bush is voting for more terrorism.
You sound like the Arn-droids during the Recall. Only ONE man can save us, eh?

And what, exactly, will you have then achieved? Nothing, nothing at all.
I'm more worried about terrorists today than I am about the long-term problems created by immigration. In any case, do you really think that a Democrat is going to have a better immigration policy?

My wife is from Bejing, China. She spent 4 years here and obtained a degree in Nursing. She even got American credit cards, from 7 years ago, all of which have been current every month. It has cost me 12,000 dollars, and 1.2 years to get her here. She is an ER nurse, and even if I died could earn 50000 plus here. Then I look at the vermin sneaking over the border to collect food stamps, section 8 housing...multiple phony id's...ad nauseum, and I want to puke.

If this was a sting operation, it would be excellent. And if my aunt had "thingies," she'd be my uncle.
This is about the continued deliberate destruction of America, nothing more. Giving lawbreakers whose national loyalities lie elsewhere a cut of our paycheck and eventual amnesty is completely unacceptable, and will eventually make America resemble a 3rd world hellhole.
But giving a terrorist organization (the PA) $400 million per year is unacceptable as well, and so is giving $15 billion to sub-Saharan Africa (ostensibly to fight AIDS). ......and so is trashing the first amendment (CFR)......and so is threatening to continue to trash the 2nd Amendment (a new AWB ban).

There's that treason word again. I think you need to take a look at the legal meaning of the word. Then write to Bush and tell him to close the borders. If that doesn't make sense to you, consider what "aid and comfort" means.

The defeat of Bush would do more to give "aid and comfort" to the enemies of America than a terrorist attack that killed a hundred thousand people. If Bush loses the election, the war will be over and the terrorists will have won.

Actually, myself, I prefer the decaf version of cyanide and slow nationhood death over the regular brand.

...Look, anyone who doesn't vote for the President this November is a fool with treasonous tendencies...
We are in a new age of civility regarding immigration threads, in case you didn't hear.
You have your opinion. I completely disagree. Bush has not earned my vote.
I think a goofy wimp like Dean would be devoured by even the spineless wimp republicans in Congress.
I am not afraid of your boogeyman.

But that's in the future. Right now there's a war to win, and electing a Democrat will allow the enemies of America to win. This is NOT a winning strategy for Bush - it will LOSE him the election. If it is so incredibly important that Bush win this election for the sake of National Security and the survival of the free world, then you better get your ass on the phone and convince him and his enablers to stop this crap NOW!! He will LOSE the election if he does this - not win it! It is vital that you and anyone that thinks like you realizes this and opposes amnesty for ILLEGALS and social security for ILLEGALS.
If you were in the White House and saw President Bush about to get a Monica from an intern, and knowing how that would lose him the election, you'd dive on him to stop him from doing this to himself, his party, and his country. This is the same thing. Stop him before he hurts himself. Oppose this proposal before it kills the party and the country.

Appears you're absolutely correct.
Add this latest developement to CFR, the medicare disaster, the ED Dept debacle and the administration's *peculiar* inability to get its judicial nominations through & I'm left simply speechless.
...& that ain't easy to do.

Jeez...I wish I knew where I read this information...
The Social Security Administration spent something like one hundred ten million dollars in 2000 trying to control counterfeit SS #'s. They gave up. Last year, that budget item was down to less than ONE MILLION. What does this tell you?

"I'm more worried about terrorists today than I am about the long-term problems created by immigration. "
I see. Now, if you were a terrorist wanting to get into this country, how would you enter. Me? I'd come in from the Southern border. Anything short of closing those borders is simply pandering to the very terrorists we're supposed to be fighting.

I'm a Southern Nationalist, and assume that the U.S. is doomed. I'd like to think otherwise, as I'm fond of this vast, beautiful country, but I don't live in never-never land. After the fall, government will be regional, not continental, and I'm helping people think about that sure future.
