My wife is from Bejing, China. She spent 4 years here and obtained a degree in Nursing. She even got American credit cards, from 7 years ago, all of which have been current every month. It has cost me 12,000 dollars, and 1.2 years to get her here. She is an ER nurse, and even if I died could earn 50000 plus here. Then I look at the vermin sneaking over the border to collect food stamps, section 8 housing...multiple phony id's...ad nauseum, and I want to puke.

I know exactly how you feel.
Nearly every legal immigrant I know (and I know at least 30 from different countries) are FED UP with the US policy towards Illegal Immigrants and ask often "why the heck did I even go through all of that if the country just lets all these others in?" As an American, it is a damned hard question to answer. And President Bush doesn't make it any easier!!
In fact, I'd love to see that question from a LEGAL IMMIGRANT posed to Mr. Bush in a campaign talk show format. Neither he nor Rove could explain it away.
I am ashamed with the two of them over this, even though I suppor the President on many other issues.
