The nation's largest Messianic Jewish organization is criticizing leading evangelical Christians -- including the Rev. Billy Graham -- of caving into Jewish pressure to downplay the Gospel.

"There are those who have worked both overtly and subtly to demonize Jewish believers in Jesus and to make the work of Jewish evangelism seem unacceptable," David Brickner, president of Jews for Jesus, wrote in a six-page letter titled "The War on Jewish Evangelism" sent to 110,000 donors.

I've always had a question.

So Jews for Jesus retain their ethnicity of being Jewish obviously, but are they then considered Christians for accepting Christ as Savior, Son?

Other words they're former Jews who're now Christians?

On another note how do Ordinary Jews feel about Jesus Christ?

I've heard two different stories.. some of my Jewish friends tell me that the Christ we believe in is regarded as a fake to them and that the real Christ has yet to come, and one of my Jewish friends says our Christ is just a prophet to them not Son of God.

What's the truth?

I've encountered this theology...that Jews somehow don't need salvation.

Jews are lost and sinful just like everyone else. They need the message as does any lost person.

Jesus was ethnically a Jew, nothing to do with Religion.

Romans makes it clear that God is not finished with the Jews, and every Jewish knee will come to bow before Christ Jesus.

But, for now, God lets them reject Christ.

What's the truth?

The truth of all this is represented very well in both the Old and New Testaments commonly referred to as the Christian Bible.

The Jews were a spiritual race. Their faith brought them spiritual life. Jesus Christ also had spiritual life as a Jew and through faith and born perfect with that spirit as the only Perfect Sacrifice to pay for the sins of all mankind. After Christ, all Gentiles also had access to spiritual life as royal priests in the mystery Church Age.

He was and is the King of the Jews. He also is the Head of the Church.

I think, more importantly, Jesus was the Son of God and God on earth.
I'm pretty sure his ethnicity wasn't important to him.

Is a ceasefire on the conversion front too much to ask for?
Jews don't go around misquioting the Christian Scriptures to get Christians to become Jews. Why can't Christians show us the same respect?

What's the truth?

It depends on who you talk to... Given the fact that if you ask 3 Jews a question on faith or religion, you'll at least 4 different answers, there is no "truth" (or for that matter "Truth") when it comes to your question.
