Look at how the Sargeant is grasping Hillary's
hand...
It looks like he's about to
haul her off to jail!

Okay, Folks, as a former 35C (Imagery Officer), lemme get my 60 pesos in here...
And, also, since I have to re-post the pic - BARF ALERT!
Facts are these:
1. This is a digital image of similar quality to military-issue digital cameras I've seen numerous times so far. The pixel distortion (which is present in most Web-sent images) is normal for Net traffic; there appears to be no Photoshop-based disruption. I judge the image to be authentic.2. Further, with the troop in question, we see the unit patch (82 ABN) means less likely to be Afghanistan, then Iraq. He's also in name-tag defilade, cleverly done to conceal his ID from unscrupulous Webbies, Socialists, and a vindictive staffer.
The soldier is ALSO holding, in his left hand which is gripping PIAPS's right hand, what appears to be a soft "boonie" hat. The rank, I'm afraid, is indistinguishable, given the angle and quality of the image. But, further clues are available...
3. Notice the surroundings. This is not a field unit, or even a tactical HQ setting. This is a Brick & Mortar building, with wiring for fluorescent lighting, AC ducts visible in the background, and those are clearly standard cloth-covered stick-pin-friendly partitions, the kind used in staff offices Army-wide. I'm guessing a division HQ or even higher - you KNOW that She would never descend to mingle with the commoners in the rockbox;
4. The decorations on the ceiling indicate a holiday season - Turkey Day or Xmas - so the time frame of the image checks. It also shows that this was not a tactical HQ - decorations as such would be frowned upon;
5. Regarding the positions of the fingers on the left hand - the position is not unassumable, nor is the image distortion overly present; the crossed fingers are true. Also notice, with holding the hat in that hand as well, the thumb and lesser two fingers are with the hat.
CONCLUSIONS: The image is authentic; the soldier is posing for the pic under duress, and is communicating that to the world; whether by design or not, his identity is at least delayed in being revealed by his pose.
Perhaps, an enterprising fellow FReeper could provide us with what The Senatrix's stops were, on Her whirlwind tour. That would give me a baseline to narrow down the details even further.

Doesn't take much for a sarge to outfox the world's biggest smartarse.

The decorations are likely for Thanksgiving. The colors reflect autumn / harvest and are typical for Thanksgiving. Christmas would be have more green and brighter red.

That's when it's proper for all of us to get involved &
unfortunately, remind power of our power, which is our
vote. We donated to Linda Tripp's legal needs back when
she was relegated to the trash heap by the Clintons.
Everyone doing a little can stop them from destroying
innocent people. - It was a nice thought when Hillary had
to pay another girl that Bill had abused close to a
million dollars. They had labeled her "trailer trash", but
when the law got involved, even they were not completely
above it. It's our job to see that their plans to become
completely above the law do not succeed.

PFC or E-duece. Still funny.

Looks like a PFC not SGT but still....we'll see. Looks like a mustang to me. Make him a General.

Gawd, I hope the allegedly female Clinton sees it. This guy has giant, titanium 'nads. God bless him and the rest of the troops.

I don't have a problem with the crossed fingers. It's the other finger that is wrong to me. Look close... How did he get the finger backwards? Am I looking at it wrong?
I certainly can't duplicate it...

As a former Sergeant of Marines who has had the honor to serve with many fine men and women of each of the branches of our military (MEPS Little Rock), I'd like to throw my 2 cent's worth into this discussion.
Is he a PFC, Sergeant, or Captain? In my opinion, he is a hard-charging Private First Class. Here are my supporting facts:
(a) No doubt, he is clearly a member of the U. S. Army as evidenced by the branch of service nametape above his left hand breast pocket and the patch of the 82nd Airborne on his left shoulder;
(b) If he were an officer - specifically, a Captain - in the U. S. Army, his rank would not be on his left collar, but on his right collar of his BDUs (cammies for us Jarheads). If my failing memory serves (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), Army officers below General grade (Company & Field grade) wear their branch (Armor, Infantry, MI, Aviation, Cavalry, etc) insignia on the left collar of their BDUs. They do not wear rank insignia on both collars. Whatever is on his left collar does not resemble any branch insignia of the Army that I can readily see (ref: http://www.1800nametape.com/a-off-chart.gif)
(c) So, if he is not a Captain (for he clearly is much too young to be a General grade - or even Field grade - officer), he must be either a PFC or Sergeant.
(d) There is clearly a single chevron up and a single rocker down on the insignia. This is without a doubt a PFC insignia.
But, then again I may be wrong. I welcome and appreciate all comments or corrections.

Is there a way to fuzz the picture of the soldiers face a little? Would the army punish the man?

LOLOL! Thank you!

Someone appreciates art. ;)

Mel Gibson is much to appreciate - on many levels.
