Bush Country Map versus Moveon.org Houseparty Map
BoloBaby | 01/04/04 | BoloBaby

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I don't know if this has been done before (if it has, the moderators may remove this thread!), but I did a side-by-side comparison of the Bush Country and MoveOn.org Houseparty maps.

No big surprises here, to be sure, but you may notice some houseparties out in Bush dominated territory. These are probably only malcontents trying to stir up resentment against Bush in republican counties. Hopefully, they won't have any impact on the overall voting habits of those counties.

Once again, it's nice to be reminded of the wisdom of our founding fathers and the electoral system. Could you imagine our country if it fell completely under the sway of modern urban mentality? *shudder*

Regards,
BoloBaby

Sorry about the small image sizes. I could only use what I had available.

It just goes to show how GREAT the Arkansas Freepers are!

The left-wing radical extremists just stay in their stys (the porcine type) wallowing in their own filth and stupidity - afraid to be know for what they truely are - Arkansas Legislators!

Note a few things to be concerned about. Several Bush states were such by very thin margins -- besides the obvious in Florida.

But there is certainly cause for concern in Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Ohio. Given demographics and the growth of minorities as a % of vote total, one has to be concerned about Las Vegas and Denver.

We have many vulnerabilities. If young, single women are successfully tapped as a voting resource (they have historically tended not to vote and Dean has registered many of them recently) we could be in big trouble unless we gut that tactic before they get it underway.

A challenge. What conservative philosophies would appeal to young, single women?

Yes, Marxists and other colllectivists tend to nest in the same hives. Just like bees, ants, and other vile insects - they can't live independently. Or think independently either, for that matter.

No concern.

Dr. Dean lassoes a million new voters but 10,000,000 Dems stay home and another 10,000,000 vote for the good guy.

Financial security. Hit them in the pocketbook. Explain why tax cuts are good for them. Yes, I'm female, just not young and single.

I'm a young, single woman in NY. Most of the young, single women I know are mostly concerned with not being blown up on the subway or at work. Second to that seems to be keeping as much of their paycheck as possible. But then, I'm sure there are plenty of young, single women who unfortunately don't think like us.

EVERYTHING (but a few!) is strictly milimited to Northeast liberal/big city/union/inner city corridor!

CA = only in LAX and SFO

Washington, Oregon = only on extreme west coast cities.

Kansas/Iowa = caucus voters? (Big bulge.)

AZ, NM = same counties as the blue indian reservation (corrupt) vote

TX = Austin, somewhat less in Dallas, a little in Houston

GA = (about the only spot in the rest of south) only in Atlanta

Fl = several large groups !! ... again, highest in yankee land transplants

Middle of country ... not much at all.

Northwest territories = clumps, but not a strong showing.
Colorado = Denver

The red/blue map needs to be looked at in the true percent and it comes out shades of purple. If a county goes 49 percent Bush or Gore the color is red or blue but that is hardly the true picture of this country. Recall that Maine had to wait to see what Dist1 would do. This state splits it college votes. So we end up in the blue list but that is not a true picture of how we vote. I am not sure what percent in Dist 1 voted for Bush now but it was not a sure thing that Gore would take that Dist. Some one should tell the women that call on GOP line on c-span that land mass is not what is counted , also. That drives me crazy.

I just saw the Michigan map.

Detroit(and burbs), Ann Arbor/Ypsi, Flint/Saginaw/Bay City, Kalamazoo, Lansing/East Lansing. Probably Benton Harbor and Muskegon as well. All dem strongholds. Only spot in the UP is Marquette which is also dem.

Grand Rapids and Traverse city are there as well. Both swing, but have a strong dem activist core there.
