NEW BIN LADEN TAPE
Sky News ^ | 1/4/03

Posted on 01/04/2004 12:33:44 PM PST by areafiftyone

Al-Jazeera television is broadcasting what is said to be a new audio tape of Osama bin Laden.

It is claimed he will refer to the capture of ex-Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

"The audiotape contains new things. It refers to the Geneva Initiative (an unofficial Israeli-Palestinian peace plan unveiled in early December) and the capture of Saddam Hussein on December 13," al-Jazeera editor Ibrahim Hilal said.

Hilal said the voice purported to be that of bin Laden will also refer to the "(US) crusade against the Islamic world."

Early translations indicated that bin Laden called on Muslims to fight Western troops in Iraq with weapons rather than dialogue.

He also condemned Gulf states which supported the invasion of Iraq.

Actually, I was thinking of simply substituting BRAVO channel. Everything there is offensive to them. It certainly is offensive to me.

Thanks, yes, it was a Spanish report on the findings of the German analysts.

don't know if you're joking or not, but IMDB.Com says Weird Al is of Hungarian and Italian descent.

I was joking. Al Jazeera, Al Saud, Al Yankovich....

FWIW, Weird Al is related to the late Frankie Yankovic, "America's Polka King."

I know a guy who (when not designing satellite attitude control systems) used to substitute for Frankie every now and then....

I am with you, OBL is not dead.

I knew Saddam and the sons were alive, but I thought they were out of the country. I was wrong on that part.

Ibrahim Hilal, Al-Jazeera's editor-in-chief, told The Associated Press the network received the message Sunday. He declined to reveal how it was delivered.

"My message is to incite you against the conspiracies, especially those uncovered by the occupation of the crusaders in Baghdad under the pretext of weapons of mass destruction, and also the situation in (Jerusalem) under the deceptions of the road map and the Geneva initiative," the speaker said.

"We have to liberate the Islamic world from the military occupation of the Crusaders by raising up the banner of jihad for God's sake," the speaker said.

All the better reason to send the B-1's against Al Jazeera ... the Voice of Islamic Terrorism, especially since 9/11/2001 ... like Tokyo Rose, etc.

Oh, BTW, jihadists, our God ain't your moon-gawd allah ... stick that in your jihad ...

My guess is that it's pure coincidence, based on his rhetoric against any arab cooperation against terrorism. In any event, the Benin crash was caused by hitting an obstacle on takeoff.

interestingly, IMDB.Com (trivia) on Weird Al claims he isn't related to that guy (I've never heard Frankie's music I don't think) ...

it's under the "UHF" title at IMDB.Com and then you can click on Weird Al and his trivia ... dunno how accurate it is ...

Oh I see, the best voice analysis the Cia has to offer has been fooled by some leaderless jihadist from the 3rd world. Pardon me but you are in fantasyland. But if you need to wear blinders to face the day, so be it.

"his appearance is different, that's why there is no video."

I agree! What's interesting is that everyone wants absolute proof that Bin Laden is alive (i.e. OBL holding recent newpaper clipping). I think it is to his advantage to keep everyone guessing about whether he's alive or not (plus it keeps his "new" appearance a secret, as suggested above). Many are convinced that OBL is alive. I am not one of them. OBL had too much time to make his escape before we bombed Afghanistan (if he even was there in the months prior to our attack).
