Al-Jazeera television is broadcasting what is said to be a new audio tape of Osama bin Laden.

It is claimed he will refer to the capture of ex-Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

"The audiotape contains new things. It refers to the Geneva Initiative (an unofficial Israeli-Palestinian peace plan unveiled in early December) and the capture of Saddam Hussein on December 13," al-Jazeera editor Ibrahim Hilal said.

Hilal said the voice purported to be that of bin Laden will also refer to the "(US) crusade against the Islamic world."

Early translations indicated that bin Laden called on Muslims to fight Western troops in Iraq with weapons rather than dialogue.

He also condemned Gulf states which supported the invasion of Iraq.

I think this is why the guy is shown wearing plastic gloves while examining Saddam's mouth after his capture. We wanted to be sure we got a swab of his DNA. Remember, people in Iraq were doubting last July that we had really taken out the two sons, despite our photos of them in the morgue.

I don't think that just because it isn't a video automatically Osama is dead. He may be dead, he may not be. But if he has changed his appearance via hair dye, shaving, plastic sugery, etc, then it would be logical (if he is alive) not to be on video.

I've said it before and I guess I have to say it again. It DOESN'T MATTER whether we think he's dead or alive. It just matters what the other islamics think. Radio, TV, doesn't matter. Most of them don't have TVs anyway. Video doesn't matter.

What matters is that these folks think he's alive and we havent gotten him yet. That way, he can say he's winning.

When the CIA says "it's probably him" will those of you who insist on the video proof finally give up the ghost? He's alive. We blew it in Tora Bora.

OBL isn't producing home movies because he knows it'll lead to his capture. The cia would identfy his whereabouts in an instant.

With a white bedsheet as a backdrop, the CIA might be able identify if it is 150 or 220 count cotton, but not much else. He isn't producing vdios becease he's a moulder'n in his grave, IMHO.
