I heard a quick news break on this, only caught the flight number... I looked it up at British Air's site and was surprised to see this is a flight leaving the US.

Would this be the same actual aircraft that was detained at Dulles last night? Perhaps still concerned about something hidden on board?

I have to wonder if someone slipped through on a flight, but his compatriots didn't get through, and now he wants to go home.

Another one? Or the one that was detained this morning? Color me confused.

Or perhaps the flight back to UK corresponding with the one from the UK cancelled earlier (i.e. no airplane here in U.S. to use)?

I think the one earlier today was coming from England to Dulles. This one is leaving Dulles to England.
But I'm rather confused as well. Wish the media would connect the dots and write ONE article detailing all the flights and concerns. But that would take too much work for the presstitutes.

what is going on with this stuff? now someone is going BACK? or, is it the same plane from last night, are they holding the aircraft for some reason, and therefore had to cancel this?

I'm thinking this is the same airplane as cancelled from UK to US, so now there is no airplane here to make the return flight, so obviously cancelled - not for security, but for lack of an aircraft.

After 2 different incidents of stow-aways in wheelwells (both dead), it does make one wonder how many other persons might have used that technique successfully. Too, how easy would it really be for a terrorist to attach explosive, etc., to the wheelwell.
People--who should not be allowed to--are gaining unauthorized access to airplanes, still!!!!

Not the plane detained at Dulles last night, but the one cancelled from UK today is my guess.

I was thinking the same thing.
But flightview.com shows a BA flight 222 that left Dulles at 02:49AM on 1/1/04 landing at Heathrow at 01:50PM, and a second flight 222 scheduled to leave Dulles at 09:40PM on 1/1/04. Two flight 222s on the same day?
To: oceanview
It's not terribly clear to me. One thing, I'm very glad I'm not flying anywhere right now.
