Tried getting to FreeRepublic via URL "http://freerepublic.com" and got message "The file / cannot be found". I thought there was a Web site problem that was being fixed.
When I typed in "http://freerepublic.com/index.htm" I got in OK. Anybody else have that problem?

Sometimes I'm here. Like now. But 30 seconds ago I wasn't. But soon I will be back. But once I cross the threshold, I can't return. Until now. Or then. But THEY keep me here. And THEY boot me off.
Blame THEY until further notice.

This is huge and serious.
From time to time I get the "No Page To Display" nonsense for no particular reason. Five minutes later, after visiting other sites (sports, Drudge, whatever) I click on my FR bookmark and get right in like nothing ever happened. Weird.

My problem is in getting off of FRA very common affliction. No need to see your doctor. Despite reports to the contrary from liberals, this is one addiction that is quite good for you (and bad for them).

Ya know, things were nice and calm around here. Now my side aches.

Yes, I couldn't access the Free Republic home page yesterday afternoon using Mozilla Firebird 0.7 at work. Then, I tried an old Netscape browser on my work computer (Netscape 4.0) and the FR home page came right up.
