I am an example of a die hard democrat who saw the light and switched parties. It can happen, and hopefully more will do the same when they wake up to the fact that their party has been hijacked by socialists who are hell bent on destroying the country as we know it. I don't know that Jim would create a special section of FR for them however.

Interisting. Im actually a registered democrat (haven't taken the time to change that yet). I actually found the free republic through the Democratic Underground. I stumbled upon their site, Posted, and was quickly booted. They said to go back to Free Republic and I ended up here. In my opinion, you guys are doing a fine job helping moderate dems go cold turkey... They don't seem to mind sending people your way either.

Tumble, your idea is a good one. That forum will not only allow us to win over wavering Democrats (I still think we should restrict it to that; die-hard liberals will just muck up the works), it will prove once again that the Republican party is the big-tent. We are willing to accept anyone who agrees with our vision for America and we are willing to talk it through with anyone who is curious to learn more. While Dems villify Republicans, I share Reagan's view that Dems are just misinformed. I'm willing to help them see the light.

I don't consider the spending of money by the Legislative Branch like a bunch of drunken Democrats particularly "Conservative".
