Plot to assassinate Saudi royals uncovered

Islamic fundamentalists have mounted an unprecedented series of assassination attempts on senior Saudis, American officials said yesterday, lifting a veil of secrecy imposed by Riyadh.
The attacks appear to be a concerted effort to destabilise the kingdom's ruling elite. They include the failed shooting of the counter-terrorism chief, Maj Gen Abdelaziz al-Huweirini, the New York Times was told.
Gen Huweirini was lightly wounded and his brother seriously injured in the Dec 4 attack, which was not disclosed by Saudi authorities, senior American officials said.
In addition, a car bomb exploded in Riyadh on Monday, narrowly missing a major in the Interior Ministry.
No one has been killed in the attacks, which came as Saudi security forces continued a months-long strike against al-Qa'eda and related terrorist groups. Hundreds of militants have been arrested and dozens more killed, including al-Qa'eda's reported chief in Saudi Arabia, Youssef al-Ayeri.
Until this year, which has been marked by a wave of suicide bombs in which at least 50 people have died, Islamic militants have directed most attacks against westerners.
A senior American official said: "The Saudis have done a good job of taking down a lot of the al-Qa'eda leadership. But they continue to be very dangerous and to go after royal-family related targets."

The Destruction accomplished by "Terrorists" is NOT "Done as an Isolated Action."
There is an Entire, EVIL, "Infrastructure" associated with ANY "Terrorist Act!"
The ENTIRE, SICK, "Terrorist Structure" MUST be EXPOSED--because MOST Civilized Humans will be REPULSED BY the "Beliefs" of "Terrorists!"
At our Current State of "Civilization," (we are WAY BEYOND the Brutal Civilizations of the Past) there is NO JUSTIFICATION for MASS MURDER by "Terrorists," except to gain "Political Power!!"
In our Current Civilization, "Terrorists" are Basically "Pirates," & are Due NO MORE RESPECT than those who were "Pirates" two Centuries ago!
