Fox and Friends turns up the juice.

I must admit that I cannot stand the weekend edition of Fox and Friends. Mike Jerrick rarely contributes to the discussion, and that leaves Juliet argueing with Julian Phillips most of the program. Julian uses "Katie Couric" language such as "some feel" or "most feel." I hear Julian dance around the actual subject and attempt to make himself look neutral only then to parrot the liberal line.
Julian will say something like this "You know some feel and I think I gotta agree with Dean. This capture of Saddam really hasn't made us any safer." By starting with "some feel" its as if he's quoting some anonymous group. Contrast that to the three hosts who work during the week. Why just this morning I heard Steve, E.D., and Brian talking about the White House Christmas party.
Steve:
"You know we got the meet the Vice President."
(Steve showing pictures of his the Vice President and himself.)
E.D.:
"We couldn't figure out what to get the Vice President."
Steve:
"No gifts over 20 bucks right?"
E.D.:
"Right. Nothing over 20 bucks. So we got him a 20 dollar gift certificate to Joe's pizza down in Crawford."
Steve:
"Ha! You gave that to a guy with a heart condition?"
E.D.:
"I know. We started to feel really bad when we realized this. But when we were able to give it to him he said it was the best gift he could have gotten. He loved it!"
Steve:
"I stood in line and got to meet the Vice President as well. We got to take a picture with him. When I got up to the front of the line I told him that I thought this was the line to meet Santa?!??!"
E.D.:
"Oh No! What did he say?"
Steve:
"He laughed. He told me that I could have anything I wanted this year."
And E.D. ends the segment with a BANG!
E.D.:
"Its not Dick Cheney that does that. Its Congress!!!!!"

Saddam was a strong supporter of terrorism (paying families of bombers 25k, eg). He was a threat with Kuwait and was working on WMD. We will be getting more info very shortly.
Did you prefer that he had developed deliverable WMD and then sold them to Al Qeada? The world cannot afford dictators like him anymore.
You agree with Dean on this one (that Saddam wasn't really a threat). What else do you agree with Dean on?

I completely disagree about Julian Phillips. I have heard him make very conservative comments on issues. Just the other morning he was talking about the Bible and how things seem to be coinciding with bible prophecy. (They were talking about how Babylon would never be rebuilt, or something along those lines.) I think it is easy to hear one or two things and then automatically condemn the person as an idiot, liberal, etc...
At first, I wasn't too keen on Mike Jarrett, but he has definitely grown on me and I find him to be very funny. Also, Juliett is a wonderful conservative. You should of heard her one day making fun of France when she was over there as a student. It was very funny.
I watch the weekend crew every Saturday morning and am not disappointed! Of course, Steve, E.D. and Brian are great too, but I have very little time to watch them during the week.
Please freepers, we can all have our opinions of the show, they can't please everyone, but don't start calling for someone to lose their job just because you disagree with a few things they said.

If he's not a troll then what is he? A smurf? It's much more productive to have an intelligent dialogue than call people names. Take it from a "newbie" who has taken heat incorrectly at times here. It's almost like a fraternity hazing, and it does not do FR justice!!! It's not neccessary.
Just answer his question, if you think he is foolish.

I agree. Juliet dresses like a dominatrix and only wants to talk about herself and her husband, David. I already know more about them than I would like to know. Julian, for all practical purposes, is a vegetable. I don't watch Fox much on weekends.

Just to summarize my thoughts on the Hussein and "making us safer" business:
Of course the capture of Saddam Hussein was and is monumental. I disagree with familyofman about Hussein's terrorism ties. The record and evidence is that he sponsored all kinds of terrorism.
The world is safer with Hussein in custody, of course. The left presents it as if all threats should have either instantly ceased or else continued threats demonstrate Hussein was incidental in the scheme of things. That is incorrect.
The only reason the question is posed "are we safer with the capture of Saddam Hussein" is to minimize the significance of his apprehension, and thus detract from President Bush's victory over Saddam.

That is normal response for some around here when they don't like your question or the question makes their head hurt.

I guess I do agree with Dean on this - I'm a sinner & don't plan on converting. I don't know all of Dean's positions - so I really can't say if I agree with him on anything else.
If he's for fiscal responsibility (balanced budget), getting illegals out of the USA, protecting domestic jobs, and bringing back the draft - maybe. But, I really don't check to see who I might agree with before I form my opinions - do you?

She's one of my favorites, but she has horrible taste in clothes. Particularly those fishnet stockings! I'd really like her to loose those.

I don't care what ANY of you morons say -- and you're ALL morons, every last one of you -- I LIKE the weekend show. True, they aren't Steve, E.D., and Brian, but they're STILL better than watching Clinton News Network or PMSNBC.
Did I mention that everyone here is a moron?
Except maybe Pardek, the only one here to wish me a Merry Christmas. And even HE acts moronic when he starts correcting my grammar...
To: Nita Nupress
The weekend morning show sucks. Julian Phillips should be fired.

Notice that Pat Sajaks show is gone. I like Sajak but that show was awful. With guests like Al Roker...who needs that kind of show?
