Fox and Friends turns up the juice.

TV transcript | 12/29/03

I must admit that I cannot stand the weekend edition of Fox and Friends. Mike Jerrick rarely contributes to the discussion, and that leaves Juliet argueing with Julian Phillips most of the program. Julian uses "Katie Couric" language such as "some feel" or "most feel." I hear Julian dance around the actual subject and attempt to make himself look neutral only then to parrot the liberal line.

Julian will say something like this "You know some feel and I think I gotta agree with Dean. This capture of Saddam really hasn't made us any safer." By starting with "some feel" its as if he's quoting some anonymous group. Contrast that to the three hosts who work during the week. Why just this morning I heard Steve, E.D., and Brian talking about the White House Christmas party.

Steve:
"You know we got the meet the Vice President."
(Steve showing pictures of his the Vice President and himself.)

E.D.:
"We couldn't figure out what to get the Vice President."

Steve:
"No gifts over 20 bucks right?"

E.D.:
"Right. Nothing over 20 bucks. So we got him a 20 dollar gift certificate to Joe's pizza down in Crawford."

Steve:
"Ha! You gave that to a guy with a heart condition?"

E.D.:
"I know. We started to feel really bad when we realized this. But when we were able to give it to him he said it was the best gift he could have gotten. He loved it!"

Steve:
"I stood in line and got to meet the Vice President as well. We got to take a picture with him. When I got up to the front of the line I told him that I thought this was the line to meet Santa?!??!"

E.D.:
"Oh No! What did he say?"

Steve:
"He laughed. He told me that I could have anything I wanted this year."

And E.D. ends the segment with a BANG!

E.D.:
"Its not Dick Cheney that does that. Its Congress!!!!!"

I agree with you. The show is horrible and I can not watch. We usually watch history channel or something educational on weekend mornings. Juliet is totally clueless on everything. If she did not have cue cards she would have nothing to say LOL

I think Juliet at least understands that Julian is extremely liberal and tries to balance out the show...but remember what she did before she became the Fox and Friends weekend host?

She was the entertainment reporter in California.

Strange as it may seem. The only person with actual news and reporting experience is Mike Jerrick. Who came from Philidelphia with a reporting background.

He's been doing much better. When he first came on the scene it looked like he needed some work in the balance department but he has had some outstanding interviews with Hamas terrorists and tore them apart.

Also, they need to put just a little more makeup on her and a little more lip liner that way she wont' be able to move her lips or move her head because of the COIF. Yipes....too much makeup!!! The weekend crew does nothing for us either. Juliet sits there like a painted statue and the other two...well, we just dont' watch anymore. Kirin is so adorable but...she talks so fast it's hard to keep up with her. She needs to slow it down somewhat. No, there is no crew on Fox like Steve,E.D. and Brian. Saw some clips of Brian pounding jeanene barfalot...he nailed her on several things. She was so obvious...guess Brian shot out some questions that old barfalot hadn't thought of therefore she couldn't answer because she wasn't prepared.

I've seen Doocy ask better questions of guests when they were on Fox and Friends than when they were on O'Reilly.
