Fox and Friends turns up the juice.

I must admit that I cannot stand the weekend edition of Fox and Friends. Mike Jerrick rarely contributes to the discussion, and that leaves Juliet argueing with Julian Phillips most of the program. Julian uses "Katie Couric" language such as "some feel" or "most feel." I hear Julian dance around the actual subject and attempt to make himself look neutral only then to parrot the liberal line.
Julian will say something like this "You know some feel and I think I gotta agree with Dean. This capture of Saddam really hasn't made us any safer." By starting with "some feel" its as if he's quoting some anonymous group. Contrast that to the three hosts who work during the week. Why just this morning I heard Steve, E.D., and Brian talking about the White House Christmas party.
Steve:
"You know we got the meet the Vice President."
(Steve showing pictures of his the Vice President and himself.)
E.D.:
"We couldn't figure out what to get the Vice President."
Steve:
"No gifts over 20 bucks right?"
E.D.:
"Right. Nothing over 20 bucks. So we got him a 20 dollar gift certificate to Joe's pizza down in Crawford."
Steve:
"Ha! You gave that to a guy with a heart condition?"
E.D.:
"I know. We started to feel really bad when we realized this. But when we were able to give it to him he said it was the best gift he could have gotten. He loved it!"
Steve:
"I stood in line and got to meet the Vice President as well. We got to take a picture with him. When I got up to the front of the line I told him that I thought this was the line to meet Santa?!??!"
E.D.:
"Oh No! What did he say?"
Steve:
"He laughed. He told me that I could have anything I wanted this year."
And E.D. ends the segment with a BANG!
E.D.:
"Its not Dick Cheney that does that. Its Congress!!!!!"

We usually watch history channel or something educational on weekend......My wife and I gave up on FOX weekend and rediscovered "This Old House" and "New Yankee Workshop" from 7-9 a.m. in our area on HGTV.
I am always amazed at the intricate work that carpenters and other tradespeople do......being mostly thumbs myself.

"..This capture of Saddam really hasn't made us any safer..."
How are we safer now that SH has been captured? Please be specific - because for the life of me I can't see how we're any safer.

The label "Troll" is thrown around far too much around here.
It is an empty, circle the wagons, intellectually lazy reponse.

There was a segment about Michael Jackson where Juliet and Julian got into a heated discussion within the past week.
Juliet is no ED but Julian is a liberal loooser. Fair and Balanced at it's worse.

We have one less tyrannical dictator on the world scene. He can no longer make WMDs, contribute to al- Qaeda, Hamas, etc. The list of insurgents he had with him has proven invaluable in capturing or killing those who would harm our troops.

Maybe he's just concerned for the children, and the small, defenseless animals. Not to mention orangutans and fruit bats.
Now that you mention it, I'm getting scared that the islamo's may be mad at us for getting Saddam. Oh, no.....

I'm glad you answered the question so well. Forget the zot & troll routine if you can be specific as to increased safety.
To: familyofman
I think that we are safer because, for one thing, his capture sends a HUGE message to the terrorist world and to the governments that support them. I believe that we've already reaped benefits from his capture in several ways.
To: familyofman
From this and previous posts, you seem to like Dean. So, you are serious--you believe that a governor of a state with about 600k people with no national or international experience would be a better choice for C-in-C than Dubya?
And further, you question whether we are safer with Saddam in custody? You're a Freeper, right????
