Who?
If I spot 'em near Seattle, I'll give a holler. But shouldn't you take this up with police a bit more closer to the scene?

bUMP FROM THE OREGON COAST
Curious why was he getting out on the hwy. to get into another vehicle.
How about age, hair, eyes.
Has the authorities been alerted.
I am up for the night taking care of a sick King Vanity so I will bump this along thru the night for you.
Prayers going up.

Who is Steve Davis?
What does he look like?
How Old is He?
Does he have any disabilities that would prevent him from seeking shelter or a phone?

The details seem a bit vague, Fogbound.
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
Dear Mr. Fogbound,
Contact all the local media.
Put a press release and start
faxing and calling. You don't
need a police report for that.

Did he and Mrs. Steve have an argument prior to her letting him out of the car? Maybe he doesn't want to be found for awhile.

Grey Davis is lost too. He left Sacramento and hasn't been seen since. Al Davis is lost too. He took the Raiders to L.A. and brought them back to Oakland. Doesn't really know where he is now.

Are you talking about THE Steve Davis?
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
I am not sure this makes much sense.

What's the daughter's excuse?
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
I wonder if CB radio (truck drivers) might be of use.
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
They didn't go back to look for him? How long from the time he was dropped off until it was discovered the daughter didn't pick him up?
What was the reasoning behind him being dropped off?
Why on the side of a highway and not a gas station or whatever?
Well one good thing it isn't very cold here in Mo, but it has been raining off/on most of the day.

Some questions...
Why was he being "dropped off" only for the daughter to pick him up?
Have you asked the daughter why she "whizzed by"?
This just doesn't make sense to me, so please fill in the blanks.
Hope he is safe and well, anyway.

(Prayer DID work!!!)
To: Sen Jack S. Fogbound
Sounds like it's possible that he and the missus had a dispute and maybe he assumed his daughter would pick him up? Yet when she passed him by (either unaware, or forgetful), he takes it personal, thumbs a ride, and "punishes" them by making them worry?
Pure speculation here, but preferable to the possibility that he met with foul play. At least my theory has the potential of a happy ending -- after he gets lambasted for allowing his family to think the worst.

So we have a male, 44 red hair beard on side of Hwy 71 near Joplin Mo
Clothes he had on?
Any medical needs?
Which direction on Hwy 71 was he let out?
Hieght Weight> ect.
These are things you should be prepared to have written up to give to authorities if this fellow has not been found in the 24hr. required time.
Also the time and possible mile mark if known.
Discription of vehicle that let him out.
Has the family gone back to location to search just in case he was hit by a passing motorists and is laying in wait of med. help.
