I am against the war because people like George Bush and his war cabinet are invested in needlessly wasting the lives of people who have absolutely no interest in perpetrating this war and should not be there. And any responsibility for the loss of their lives will rest in the hands of the warmakers on the side of the U.S. This could have been said by any of our current national politics midgets, and it illustrates perfectly the intellectual disconnect that permeates the DNC talking points:
It clearly recognizes that in an armed conflict, American deaths are the direct and clear result of the leadership that deemed the war necessary, while simultaneously beating their breasts and claiming hysterically that the enemy's "innocent" civilians (aka terrorist) deaths are not the result of their own leadership, which has chosen terrorism world-wide as politics by other means. Their deaths are also the result of American leadership and the resolve not to be overwhelmed by raw, ignorant primitive terror.
Makes no sense whatsoever, but is canonized as profound "progressive" wisdom.

I seen worse more bile filled stuff coming from our own Ann Coulter. *sigh*
Another troll?
Can you be more specific? One or two examples in context would suffice. Bear in mind that there is nothing hateful about repeating facts: Teddy Kennedy did drive off the road in a drunken stupor with an innocent young woman into water deep enough to drown her. Teddy was not too drunk to save his own worthless hide. Those are facts.
Share with us your definition of "hate-filled", please.

"There is a white panic every time one part of their world seems to be passing over to anyone else. But it's foolish to panic about it . So what if we become a majority? What difference does it make?"
Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, an immigrant who arrived in London from Uganda in 1972 and now speaks for the Foreign Policy Centre and writes for the Independent newspaper.
"From the days when the Norman French invaded Anglo-Saxon Britain, we have been a culturally diverse nation."
Diane Abbott (labour MP)
The present Royal Family sends out the wrong message about Britain today. They're all white."
"Lady" Gavron
"I do not accept the arguments of those on the nationalist right or the liberal left that Britain as a cohesive whole is dead. Britishness has become inclusive, with people happily defining themselves as black British or Chinese British."
The "Right Honorable" Jack Straw.

Here's a couple "oldies but baddies" from Hanoi Jane Fonda.
RE: American POWs in Vietnam:
"These were not men who had been tortured. These were not men who had been starved. These were not men who had been brainwashed." The POWs who said they had been tortured were "exaggerating, probably for their own self-interest,"
"Never in the history of the United States have POWs come home looking like football players. These football players are no more heroes than Custer was. They're military careerists and professional killers" who are "trying to make themselves look self-righteous, but they are war criminals according to law."

"This nation has been formed by a particularly rich complex of experiences: successive waves of invasion and immigration and trading partnerships, a potent mix of cultures and traditions which have flowed together to make us what we are today.
Blood alone does not define our national identity. How can we separate out the Celtic, the Roman, the Saxon, the Norman, the Huguenot, the Jewish,- the Asian and the Caribbean and all the other nations that have come and settled here? Why should we want to?
It is precisely this rich mix that has made all of us what we are today."
Prime Minister Tony Blair

Ex-Canadian Peter Jennings thinks the voters who elected the GOP house in 1994 are like two-year olds:
"Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming....Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week....Parenting and governing dont have to be dirty words: the nation cant be run by an angry two-year-old."

The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. - Socialist presidential candidate Norman Thomas

[Any known alternative to DDT] only kills farm workers, and most of them are Mexicans and Negroes. So what? People are the cause of all the problems. We have too many of them. We need to get rid of some of them and this is as good a way as any. - Dr. Charles Wurster, chairman of the Environmental Defense Funds Scientific Advisory Council and a key promoter of the DDT ban

This isn't hate-filled and has no direct tie-in with politics, but it seems to typify a certain mindset and it was funny when I was told, "Aruanan, I can't read your mind. You know how I think."

It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and workplace air conditioning, and suburban housing, are not sustainable. - Maurice Strong, UN Land Use Fuhrer, multi-millionaire, and owner of several sprawling mansions, addressing the UN Conference on Environment and Development.

I went to the hearing, and the reaction to my testimony was incredible.
That wilderness area turned out to be sacred ground in the eyes of the chairman and some of the other questioners, and it had been desecrated by entry that was not authorized. When I finally realized that, from there on I cast all my responses at that and future hearings with the recognition that I was dealing with people for whom this had become their idol.
