Real shame. Was a beautiful city. I hope the citizen's sake death reports prove to have been exagerated.

What a terrible shame that something so beautiful and ancient has been destroyed. Of course, the worse part is the loss of life, but you still are saddened when parts of history like that are just lost.

The loss of history is secondary to the loss of life yet we can mourn for both.

What a beautiful place! Iranians need to dump Islam, convert to another religion (anything will be an improvement), return the glories and greatness of Persia, and join the world of the 21st century. Face it: Islam is a dead end--in more ways than one.

Such a beautiful ancient city! I thought I heard on the radio today that they fear the death toll may go to 40,000 and I am hoping I heard wrong.

Very sad. May God comfort the lost.
