Low output. We call them 'sleepers'. 10 of his posts were made in November and December, 6 of those today.

Ha, ha, I like the term "sleepers". Let's just hope he's not part of a DU sleeper cell that has plotted to awaken during the holiday season. Ultimately, though, I have confidence that you guys will be able to smoke them out of their spider holes as they rear their ugly heads. ;-)

Un-freakin'-believable. Yet it is still believable, coming from Howard's mouth. Bring him on!

How did that clown sneak under the radar for two years.

Some people just lay low. It's easier to do here than if you were to try and infiltrate DU. They go by their 1,000 post thing over there so you have to be active a little bit to attain that level. But this is less a good indicator, in my opinion. Once someone gets 1,000 posts- suddenly they are not suspect any more and 1,000 posts are fairly easy to attain if you make a lot of innocent one liners.

I like our system better and at least it requires patience on the part of the infiltrator if he is to succeed. The 'find in forum' feature is good too.

That guy there could have easily kept posting if he didn't echo the DU lines on things- like 'Faux news'. Lots of Freepers disagree with the war in Iraq. I mean lots of them. Long time members. This Cusco person just finally lost it I guess. There are others. That is certain. Let's face it- DU is basically an anti-FR site, not a pro-dem site. At any given minute of the day you can go to their forum and always find a thread about 'The Freepers did this' or the 'Freepers say that'. Sad really.

Congratulations. You have come face-to-face with a stealth troll straight from DU. Many of our trolls have created several old accounts that they pull up from time to time to avoid the "newbie" charge. Some are undercover, attacking Bush from the right. I saw one "Buchanan backer" "come out" on an environmental thread. His posting history was totally "more conservative than thou" for more than two years til that one thread where he lost it and couldn't take it anymore. He had actually been posting regularly until that time. Creepy, huh?

There are numerous threads here in FR on connections between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Keeping your head in the ground is no way to go through life son. :-)

You are as delusional as the good Dr. Dean. No doubt you send him nice donations.

I see his account has been suspended/banned. Good riddance!

It's weird isn't it? How they just lose it one day like you say. It never makes any sense why they pick the one issue or day to burn out. Like this fellow here. Was this thread that important that he couldn't wait for another day? What was accomplished with this? Nobody will remember this day next November. As it is, he waited two years and then flamed out in a totally irrelevent manner. Why not make an impact before you go out? It just doesn't make any sense.

Mods will not ban long time posters with an established posting history. This guy, although, here for 2 years, was by no means established. Let's just say, you went off the deep end and started posting trash, you are established, we wouldn't ban you, but you'd get a personal note (or ban) from Jim ;)

We do take into account the number of posts and the sign on date for individual posters for ban criteria. Long timers get more slack than newbies. The general rule of thumb for mods is, if you are in doubt, do nothing, ask others to review, or Jim makes a decision. The 1000 post thing is lame. Most trolls can't wait to post their garbage. It's been my experience, they might last 30 posts at the max.

Hey, thanks for the insight. It's always interesting to see what goes on behind the curtains. Jim posted a thread a good while back that had the admin moderator's forum on it and it was very interesting and I think Freepers would benefit from seeing that sort of thing from time to time.

The 1000 post thing is lame. Most trolls can't wait to post their garbage.

It's true isn't it? Most disruptors just cannot resist can they? They can't play the game. Someone hits their key issue and they just go into melt-down.

"I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

Pick Dr. Dean out of this photo lineup:

Hey, I've been meaning to ask one of you guys this...

On the "Signups" page of the Daily Stats, I notice that certain events in recent history have resulted in periodic bursts of new signups. Big burst over the weeks of the 2000 election debacle, another in the weeks after 9/11. Completely understandable.

But then there's this for the week of March 25, 2002--

2002.03.25 - 51 41 49 49 34 257 72

a giant bump of signup activity on March 30. Do you guys know what happened on that date?

The Iraq invasion was around March 20. Perhaps this was the fall of the regime.

Asked whether bin Laden should be tried in the United States and put to death, Dean told the Concord Monitor: "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

I *love* this guy! But I'm afraid that he's going to babble his way out of the nomination. :(

I just hope that there is video of him spewing this asinine hooey, just so we can run it in ads in the NYC/NJ/CT/PA/DC media areas right after he clinches the nomination.

If they keep this up it's over.

Have they given us any reason to expect them to change? I think not. They are going to self immolate next fall.
