[history]
The CIA has been quietly building a case that the anthrax attacks of 2001 were in fact the result of an international terrorist plot.
U.S. officials with access to intelligence reports tell us the information showing a terrorist link to the anthrax-filled letters sent by mail in the weeks after the September 11 terrorist attacks is not conclusive. But it is persuasive.

I missed it! Was it during Greta's show? I'll try and catch the repeat letter. I always am interested in what Gertz and Mansoor have to say.

I don't believe the extensive level of contamination at the AMI building could have been caused simply by cross-contamination of mail. The building is still closed and sealed, awaiting a decontamination procedure that's estimated to cost millions. (The building is valued at $12 to $15 million, but sold for $40,000 to the developer who contracted to clean it up.) Something containing more than just a few anthrax spores entered that building.
(I just wanted to repeat what you wrote there. It bears another look.)

As part of its 7 December 2002 declaration, Iraq resubmitted the Amorim panel document, but the table showing this particular import of media was not included. The absence of this table would appear to be deliberate as the pages of the resubmitted document were renumbered. Acknowledged, and then forgotten. Just so many absent pages. But, they don't have any WMD, so this is all just a fairy tale!

I've seen the info about Troxler and Miller at UCLA's ongoing PhD website investigating the attacks, as well as mention in Vanity Fair, and earlier in the NY Post. Many of them were blurbs. I'd see a story, then see it denounced as a "hoax", then see it again awhile later, except this time "unimpeachable" types were discussing it.

Organizational vanity: The FBI, pop-psych profile in hand, is forcing the case to fit the profile. (profiles have media glamour, but are easily subjected to political forces) Recent case in point for the FBI profile: DC snipers! Black, muslim. Not white, not christian, not right wing.

I say, given our track record on understanding the Islamist terrorist movement, the US is vastly clueless. Come of late, our efforts are astoundingly optimistic. However, the bet is on we're throwing poop at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Information on the genetic structure of the Anthrax raised in Iraqi bioweapons labs should be publicly released. There is no reason to classify said structure or any bioweapon signature genetic sequence.
In fact, as I think of it, we should MANDATE that all genetically engineered bioweapons include specific sequences to ID the origin of the strain.

The wife of the editor of the Sun was the landlord, renting an apartment to 2 of the hijackers, who were either Atta & al-Shehhi or Ahaznawi & Jarrahi. Those 4 are known to have lived in FL... For me, at the time of the attacks, that was one coincidence too many. You have to wonder about the posters who kept up a high noise level to try to obscure the obviousness that the anthrax letters were Islamist terrorism. I bet one could find some fairly interesting propaganda campaigns by studying the FR archives.

Your theory implies there were probably undiagnosed anthrax deaths.
It would be interesting to see if the mortality from "pnumonia" spiked during the anthrax attacks.

Bump.

I agree completely. All we've heard about the Iraqi strain of anthrax is that it ISN'T Ames, is that right? And the strain of anthrax that was used in the 2001 attacks WAS Ames. Can we even trust THAT information? These are the people who want us to believe not only that the anthrax is homegrown, but the perp is as well.

I had the same reaction. I often have a hard time believing in coincidences when they are a part of these kinds of high-level "crimes"/acts of war.
There are many many people who still ramble on about how this is all just a bunch of hooey. Right here on FR. You can see a few of them on the early 9-11 threads, right after plane #1 hit the north tower.

Thank you for that list of links! That's a heck of a lot of info! More than I've seen on most sites.

As I've heard, there are a few cases that were never formally labeled as victims of these attacks - and I know of at least one postal worker in the area who, last I heard, was still alive, but trying to shake a serious case of pneumonia.

The first 5 points of the profile seem to go without saying... real heady stuff.
