SPECULATION: Key Terrorist Organizers die in flight on way to Islamic Home Base. Their Anti-US plans thwarted by CIA operatives. Note to Terriorists: "Plan to kill Americans using Aircraft...then you should avoid flying." Or as we say in the US..."People who live in Glass Houses shouldn't throw rocks".

Pretty strange speculation. What makes you think this?

I agree. Cockpit area looks like a Boeing type. Engine appears to be side mounted engine from 727. 727-100 my guess.

I really wonder who was on the plane.

And where it was really headed.

God Bless our brothers and sisters on the front lines, far from their families this Christmas 2003.

Any Terrorist motive?

Or perhaps there were bad guys on board...

I thought the center engine intake of a 727-100 looked something like a toilet seat. Not round.

ALmost all Boeing jets have the small upper cockpit windows. It is a 727. No doubt about it.

140 passengers is a fully loaded 727-200.

On one of the airline boards they're saying it was a UTA charter. From what I can tell, UTA is/was part of Air France.

Another guy said it was a 737, but I can only ID 747's as part of the old UTA fleet.

Fuselage mounted engine. Cannot be 73, 74, 75, 76 or a 777.

Is that a normal route for a flight to Beirut or could it possibly indicate a failed cockpit takeover that led to the crash ?
