I wonder if this info my mom sent me is true?
Never accuse the American Military of not having a sense of humor! Have you heard what the troops are calling the Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopter Hillary Clinton used on her Iraq tour?

Well here headlines
BBC wire reporting breaking news Iraqi miltant did Christmas smackdown on Baghdad Sheraton Hotel in Iraq this morning
And killing three American soldiers so far
Now CNN.com reporting real reason is that Bin Laden may want attack our US busiest airport from Chicago O Hare airport to my own LAX airport
YES it is true you can't park your cars in terminal At LAX
Because of high security
Also there is growing evidence according to UK Times that I broke here first that Rahghad Hussian elder daughter of Saddam been funding miltants in Iraq
Gee what nice daughter

The dentist notices that the patient's plate is severely corroded, but can't figure out why.
The dentist says to the patient, "I've noticed that your plate is severely corroded.
Have you had a change in your diet recently? to which the patient replies, "Why yes, sir. Six months ago my wife introduced me to eggs benedict.
I fell in love with the hollandaise sauce and now I put it on everything.
"That's it. The hollandaise sauce contains lemon juice which is very acidic. That explains the corrosion of your plate.
I can replace your plate, but I have to make it out of chrome. "Why chrome?" asks the patient.
"Why don't you know?
There's no plate like chrome for the hollandaise.

The Christmas Story Continues...
From ere the founding of the world
From eternity past
God planned our soul's salvation
From His first child to the last
He breathed the breath of Life
Into Adam and Eve
Knowing they would squander
The precious Gift they had received
For His second Gift was freedom
To make the fateful choice
If we would follow Him
Or the serpent's lying voice
Such a tale of sorrow
For as you know they fell
As have all their children
Taking sin's broad way to hell
But down through all the ages
He made His Presence known
For He had made a Promise
Of a Lamb to save His own
And when the time was full
As the shepherds watched by night
The sky was split by glory
And the world was filled with Light
Goodwill was shown to men
Peace came as a Child
In a humble manger
The precious Babe so meek and mild
Wise men came and worshipped
Bearing gifts of gold and myrrh
Looking on in wonderment
At the One Who is so pure
In Love He walked among us
He felt our earthly pain
Feeling what we feel
In the sunshine and the rain
Like us He too was tempted
But He was God while truly Man
He kept the Law completely
He gave Himself to break death's ban
The greatest Love the world could know
Was displayed upon that cruel Roman Cross
We'll never fathom the price He paid
Out of His tender mercy for we who were lost
But the Christmas Story didn't end
With His dead Body in the cold ground
For on that first bright Easter morning
The stone was moved, an empty tomb was found!
The angels said, "Why do you seek Him here?
The Living with the dead?
Go to Galilee, Your Lord is alive!
Follow Him, He's gone ahead!"
He showed them His wounds
His glory He showed by mighty proofs
With joy they cried 'Hosanna!'
As they touched Eternal Truth
Then one day He said, "I have to ascend
So the Holy Spirit can come
I'll dwell with you forever
Yes, with all of you, instead of just with some"
My friend, it is the greatest Story ever told
Simply because the Christmas Story is True
And the last chapter isn't written yet
Of His boundless Love for me and you

The Promise
There's a promise in our sorrow
and a blessing when we sigh.
There's a light beyond the shadows
and a cleansing when we cry.
So when we are discouraged,
and face tremendous grief;
it is during those times of trouble,
that the heavens send relief.
With our heart in tune with Jesus,
our source of joy and peace,
be mindful of His promise,
that all suffering He would cease.
He's cried our tears of sadness;
He's felt our every pain,
He's walked our path before,
all glory to His name.
Just listen for the spirit,
as it whispers to be still,
for there is joy and comfort
beyond sad Calvary's hill.
So if the sky should darken
and if the earth should quake,
remember life has struggles
on the journey that we take.
The aftermath of sorrow
is beauty and pure light,
if we can fight the battle
and pray with soul and might.
He sent us rainbow colors
to follow cleansing rain,
He showed us there are miracles
that come with all the pain.
Seek forbearance in the hardships,
or when we fear or roam.
Cast your burdens on the Savior,
and He'll come and take us home.
For He is our great Redeemer
our only true best friend,
He promised he would never leave,
He'll guide us to the end.

LOL!!! I love the card!!!</> Here is another one Fawnn
This is most unique Christmas card I have ever seen -- you click on one of the lighted items and it jumps into another wonderful scene - it goes from page 4 to page 13 and each page is better than the previous page......also requires sound - Give it plenty of time to download (if you have a S_L_O_W Modem as I do.

Army Pvt. Dylan Tyahla donates his 10th pint of blood at Fort Gordon, Ga. Tyahla will be able to continue as a regular Armed Services Blood Program donor at his next duty assignment in Okinawa. Photo by Paul Clayton
Military Blood Program Seeks Holiday Donors
American Forces Press Service
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Dec. 23, 2003 The Armed Services Blood Program urges eligible donors to give blood this holiday season to ensure supplies are available to treat service members, retirees and their families.
The blood program organization collects, processes and distributes blood and blood products for the Department of Defense. Blood collected is used in military hospitals and sent to locations worldwide to save the lives of those wounded in action.
During the holidays and well into January, military services' and civilian blood collection centers experience a drop in blood collection, noted spokeswoman Lyn Kukral.
Air Force Lt. Col. Ruth Sylvester, Armed Services Blood Program Office director, agreed. "There are a lot of reasons for the decrease," Sylvester explained.
"It is a busy time of year, many people take vacations and some regular donors may have a cold or the flu, making them temporarily unable to donate," she said. "Unfortunately, the number of people who need blood does not decline. Cancer, surgery and trauma patients at home and those injured abroad cannot wait for blood."
The rest of the story
And don't forget the public sector either. I have an appointment for Friday to give blood...a gift of life easily given.
