Life in prison. He'll be out in 7 years or sooner. Free to kill again. And smarter and well fed. Thanks to taxpayer money. Life in prison "without the possibility of parole." He's got a good 60 - 70 years ahead of him staring at the inside of a prison (assuming another state doesn't execute him first)

So supposing he gets another life, even the death sentence from a trial elsewhere, then what happens ? First sentence carried out then second or what ?

Did you say it already about the FBI agent? That's federal. In D.C. even; perhaps they can get Malvo on the Rocket Docket.

I am not sure, but I do believe death would prevail, if you get my drift. :-)

Agreed. I disappointed beyond words with some of my fellow Virginians. I don't know how they can live with themselves having given this sentence.
From what one of the reporters said, I think at least one of the jurors possibly could be a Muslim, which might explain why they couldn't get the unanimous death penalty decision.

Yep. I'll never get over seeing her lying in the parking lot not moving. I didn't find out until later that they'd shot her from the Pizza Hut.

Their families should be put under house arrest until they agree to leave the country forever. I hope you're joking. Really. If you're serious, I think you'd fit in better in Red China or mohammedan Iran than here. I don't agree with this jury either, but having free juries is far more important than frying Malvo.
To: eddie willers
Well, I wouldn't go that far. His life as, ahem, a "pincushion" is better than him taking another life to deserve death. But I understand the sentiment. If he is convicted in Louisiana, he may get his reward then.

What a crock of **it! This terrorist scumball blows a womens head wide opens then laughs about it and a jury gives him life???
I bet he walks the streets a free man in 7 years or so!
Yeah that ought to scare any would be terrorists off boy! /sarcasm
I bet the scum terrorist that is shooting and killing people in Ohio has a good laugh over this. Maybe he will go out and murder somebody tonight in celebration!!
The people on that jury need to be horse-whipped!
To: Constructionist
Must have been a mostly female jury.. This is one female - and a grandma - who would have held out for DEATH!! Of course, I would never have been selected as a jury member anyway after they asked me if I believed in the death penalty!

Free to kill again. Actually, today's sentence recommendation is life *without parole*. In addition he is facing more trials. Thank God.

Hey, at least we all learned a lesson here.
Remember that night when those two mutants sleeping in their car in that rest area in western Maryland? Next time something like this happens and the perps are located like that, we know better than to call the police.

I [am] disappointed beyond words with some of my fellow Virginians.
I just read that about half of Virginians don't consider themselves to be Southerners.
