This is the final weekend for Holland America's balcony sale. This means if you register for an inside or outside cabin, you'll be upgraded to an oceanview stateroom with your very own private verandah AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!
Complete with comfy chairs and table, step out the glass cabin doors onto the balcony in your PJ's. You can enjoy a cup of tasty coffee as the Zuiderdam pulls into a tropical island port in the brilliant morning sunlight.
You'll see a wide panorama of the island with beautiful homes perched on hill sides. You'll gaze down on the bustling port full of ships, yachts and sailboats. You'll see strands of white sand beaches off in the distance.
You'll see the captain and some officers standing in something resembling a crow's nest. I forget the name of this little area jutting out the side of the ship. (Commander Mustang, help!) They're using binoculars, radios and handsignals as they oversee the ship inching up to the concrete dock.
You can watch the fascinating hustle-bustle below as dockhands wait for the Zuiderdam's sailors to toss the mooring ropes with unerring aim.
The local tug boat that guides the huge cruise ships into port chugs off, its operators waving cheerfully to the passengers lining the rails.
There's nothing like a balcony cabin. One of my favorite sights is stepping out on it late at night before retiring. With luck, I may catch a glilmpse of another cruise ship in the distance. Cruise ships sail the Caribbean with thousands of lights shining from stem to stern. It's quite a sight.
Phone Wanda today so that you don't miss this cabin upgrade sale. Her toll-free number is 1-800-890-7583 (Pacific time zone). A credit card deposit will hold a cabin and you can still get a good location on a good deck.
Tell her you want to be on Freeper Row!

We will be driving down from NC and are lucky enough to be able to leave our boys with Grandma and Grandpa in Jacksonville for the week and also to have my husbands step-mothers place in Ft. Lauderdale to stay in the night before the cruise.
Is it too late for me to be able to get in on any of the cabin upgrades? Is the phone number for Wanda working on the weekend?
I'm SO excited about this. We've been on a cruise before but only a 3 day one and we had a blast, it was just too short. We took the kids on that one too so this one will be even more fun with just the 2 of us.

The upgrade and balcony sale is actually over at midnight Sunday (tomorrow). But Wanda's office is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Soooo, here's what you (and anyone else who wants to get in on the deal) should do.
Phone Wanda's office at 1-800-890-7583 any time this weekend. Leave a message on the recorder. Give the day, date and time you are calling. Leave your name and phone number. Say you are calling to register before the cabin sale expires. That's all you have to do.
Wanda will call you back and take care of everything. She loves freepers and is so patient explaining all the options for you.
Mykdsmom, and any one else phoning this weekend, please let us know here when you get registered. Your screen names will be put into the hat for the second drawing of a $50 Zuiderdam on-board gift certificate.
The drawing will take place next Wednesday. Everyone registered so far is eligible for the prize except for that lucky devil, Mycroft Holmes, who won the first certificate.

Thanks, MKM
Freepers, hurry up and do what this freeperette just did. Make that phone call to get in on the Zuiderdam upgrade sale that expires this Sunday (tomorrow) night.
Your name will also be put in the hat for the drawing of a winner for the next $50 cruise gift certificate donated by a generous freeper. It'll be awarded next Wednesday.
Actually, the credit doesn't come in the form of a paper gift certificate, although that's what we're calling it for now. The fifty dollars will appear as a credit on your on-board account and you can spend it as you will....in the ship's fine shops or you can put it toward your final on-board statement at the end of the cruise.
If you phone this weekend, you'll ALSO automatically receive a $50 or $25 on-board credit (depending on the cabin you reserve) courtesy of Holland America. Details of this credit are on post # 139 of this thread.
Phone Wanda at 1-800-890-7583 right this minute to get your oar in now for gobs of fun later.

Oh, OK...
I guess if I can raize the $5MM to purchace a pair of parents I will go.
Is that 5 Million Million?
Let me take a look at my Checking Account.
Oh good I have a blank check...LOL
Everyone, please read post # 206 above. You MUST phone Wanda's office today (Sunday) and leave a message if you want to take advantage of the Holland America cruise deals which expire at midnight tonight. Your phone call message will establish the fact that you phoned to register before the deadline.
On the message, ask Wanda to call you back, or if you prefer, you can phone her on Monday at toll-free 1-800-890-7583 to make your reservation. You MUST make the reservation Monday to get the deals.
Once you're registered, our cruise committee will put your name into the hat for Wednesday's drawing for a $50 on-board gift certificate.
Remember, if you want, Wanda will handle your air travel arrangements. She'll also take care of a group accomodations package we've obtained for those freepers arriving in Ft. Lauderdale a day early. We'll all be staying at the Embassy Suites and the group price will include free van transportation from the airport to the hotel on Friday and then to the Zuiderdam terminal on Saturday morning.
I just found out that a free cocktail hour for our band of brethern and sistern on Friday night is going to be for TWO hours, not one (fun, fun, fun). This will be great for getting to know each other before embarkation and for seeing old friends again.
The package also includes a delicious hot breakfast buffet on Saturday morning prior to leaving for the port. All this plus a lovely room for only $134 plus tax. One phone call to Wanda on Monday and your vacation is all taken care of.
You can then relax till the day you pack shorts, sneakers, swim suit, straw hat and sun screen and leave cares and woe behind for a glorious week in the Caribbean tropics.

All prior registrants names are still in the hat. If you register today (Tuesday) or tomorrow (Wednesday) you'll be eligible for this prize also.
So call Wanda now, folks, and get your reservations in. Her phone # is 1-800-890-7583 (Pacific time).
Freepers, keep up on the Q's and A's on the Bahama Mama thread. Stay tuned there for continuing information right up till a couple days before sailing. Post any questions you may have concerning "ship life" on that site. The Bahama Mama link is at the top of this thread.

The stunning Vista dining room features two dining levels with beautiful ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Although it's difficult for groups to get the specific location they want, we've got Wanda working real hard to get us this upper level portion of the dining room.
Note the "gazebo" in the center. We'll be serenaded every night by musicians before dinner and ten minutes into serving time.
We have the second (8:15 PM) seating time and we'll all be together. There'll be two dressy nights (not stiffly formal!), a couple of semi-casual nights and the rest are nicely casual. Bahama Mama will get into what to pack and clothes to bring very soon on her Q & A thread.
The elegant Vista dining room features extensive menus with five entree choices and a Chef's daily specialty. Menus offer a blend of modern Continental cuisine, some regional specialties appropriate to the Caribbean area we're cruising in, plus traditional favorites highlighted by some "signature" cuisine dishes developed by the Zuiderdam's Executive Chef, Reiner Greubel.
Phone Wanda today at 1-800-890-7583 to register for this nautical and gastronomical delight of a cruise.
Bon apetit !

Captain JimRob will draw the winning name. The winner will be announced either later tonight or tomorrow morning depending on the usual logistics of cyberspace communications.
Good luck to all.
