Laughing beats crying. Or cowering. So either we take to the internet to start telling tired, old, incredibly lame jokes every time the alert level is raised, or we're cowering under the desk begging the Islamists for mercy.
I see.

Attacking a small town would send a message that you are not safe anywhere That was my first thought as I live in a small town, however when Ridge said it would rival or exceed 9/11, my thoughts turned to bustling cities.

Speaking for myself, I'm not making fun of the threat, I'm making fun of the government behemoth which is supposed to make us safe.
Duct tape and plastic sheets? Confiscating nail files from little old ladies at airports? Give me a break today.
If the government was serious about doing anything, they would have already resurrected the Civil Defense organization of the 50s and embarked upon a training and preparedness program among the local populations.
They would have activated the state militias to stand watch in various places.
They would have locked down the borders with Mexico and Canada.
But no, they continue to build empires and make stupid announcements on TV.

Wasn't there a picture of Niagara Falls at night, taken from the Canadian side, on several of those jihad sites?

Also remember that AQ like simultaneous attacks - attack on NY City or other large city doesn't rule out small town attacks and vice versa.

The same bozo's mocking or complaining about Ridge
So who's going to look like the clown when it the next terrorists come across the wide open Mexican border?
You cant satisfy the eternally lamebrain
And who will be the lamebrain then, the Ridge bashers or the Homeland Security Chief who wants to give blanket amnesty to illegal aliens?

I've never served, but I have family and friends who have. They tell me that a sense of humor is invaluable, especially when you're in harm's way. I figure they oughta know.

OK, Mohammed, you can go back in your hole now.The important thing is, in your own mind, this reponse makes perfect sense.

It's been snowing off and on here in Salt Lake today... not much accumulation, but the airport is just off the lake, and tends to have lake effect snow at times. If it was shut down, it was probably just for a short time... and ripple effect can cause other flight plans to be cancelled, rerouted or delayed.

I think it was Neil Livingston of Global Options that I heard at 1 PM. Also, on the 3 PM CBS radio news I believe he said authorities will be checking the specificity and may have to raise it to the highest level.
Does anyone know about Neil Livingston?

Delta canceled its flights to salt lake all day,,hubby did not know why. He is coming via Atlanta. Weather in denver is good. Weather in salt lake,,light snow and rain. So I don't know any more,,must be Delta.

It is timed to be a monday morning headline, the most effective.
This is a GREAT political move. Starting late last week, the Dims and their media started to implement their own attack- that we are not safe and Bush has failed our security at home. This move completely destroys their plan.
It is a brilliant political move, and it's a good thing that they did this. It is an offensive move. If it is disinformation, so be it.

Fox actually did a *GONG* News Alert! yesterday I guess you don't watch much of Fox as they *GONG* whenever the wind shifts. It is continuous and quite annoying.

Oddly, MSNBC just said that Mitt Romney just cut his vacation in Utah short and is going back to Boston.
