We've had illegals coming across the border FOREVER. There is no reasonable, doable plan to 'close the border' that I have ever heard of, that would also be effective. If you are proposing putting up a barrier or posting a soldier every 5 yards, you could probably have an impact. But what would the cost of that be, and where would all these soldiers come from?
We cannot interdict every single person of foriegn origin without becoming a police state.

"Wish he'd share what cities they're concentrating on." Yup. If I were Al-Qa'eda, I'd pick a small town just because we think we are safer.

"Continue your holiday plans..."
So, I guess this isn't a duct tape/plastic over the windows threat, then.

"Project Bojinka is still a favorite of al Qaeda."
Sorry if I'm a tad dense but what is that - Project Bojinka?

Thank heavens I have a stock of fruit cake on hand. With a single case, you could live for months! If I had to eat fruit cake, why would I want to?
To: myprecious
fruit cake has a shelf life of post nukes.

Chatter examples: suicide bomber...no independent confirmation; continued talk about using aircraft; talk about something bigger than 9/11; comes from several sources
To: goodnesswins
More so a statement from what the media has said. Such as Iraq and Iran and possibly Syria. That's what I have read. Am I incorrect?

The usual ones. Reports I heard earlier were NYC, Washington and Chicago. But realistically, it could be any large city--Seattle was thought to be a target around Y2K when they caught Ressam (although the real target, as they found out later, was LA).

Sorry if I'm a tad dense but what is that - Project Bojinka? As reported by CNN in 1996.
Interesting, Saddam and Al Queda in the same article.

No. Wasn't aware of that.

Credibilty of several sources pointing toward near term attacks in the United States. YIKES!
