For clarity sake, this is NOT a transcript. This is ABC's choice of excerpts that they have posted on their website.

"I now pronounce you domestic partners." Ewwwww. Thank goodness they didn't show them French kissing.

What a stupid interview! Stupid questions, shallow , guarded, rehearsed, mostly unrevealing answers, the usual obscene commercial interruptions, the worst editing with film clips you'll ever see. Diane is a pathetic example of the successes of feminism, a beautiful, intelligent woman who gives up a normal family life for a career in professional idiot box shallowness! Sad!

I usually get a lift from watching Pres Bush being interviewed on TV. This time it was more like he was being grilled. Sawyer was not up to the job, and George seemed at times to find it tedious (as it certainly must have been) to have to explain the same things over and over. DS was uninspired, dull and humorless. She appeared to be more intent on sneaking in her own political agenda than speaking with the president of the United States. The contrast between her self-serving, self-important attitude and Pres Bush's candor and civility played to his advantage. Score another one for the Bush team.

I missed the interview and was listening to Fox rerun of Special Report.
Mort Kondracke said he was being made up beside Madeline Albright and she "Seriously and Unsmilingly" asked Mort if he thought Bush had HIDDEN Osama Bin Ladin and was going to produce him near to the election.
Mort was taken aback, noting that the Dem hatred of Bush was irrational. He was astounded that someone of her experience would consider such a thing and said to her"You can't be serious!"
Sorry to get off the subject but I couldn't resist sharing.

"Just once I would like to see President Bush get respect from the media during interviews."
Yeh, me too. Diane Sawyer is nothing but a propagandist for the democRAT party. It was totally obvious from her so called "interview"- where she spent the whole time being rude and disrespectful to the President of the United States- that she is no "journalist".
I thought President and First Lady Bush handled it well, in spite of Sawyer's infantile rudeness, and constant interruptions. I especially liked when President Bush said-after being asked what he watches on TV-that he and Mrs. Bush waited for Sawyer's TV show to come on with "baited breath"-that was too funny.
I am sick of the media's BS too. I would love to see Sean Hannity get a chance to interview President Bush. At least he(Bush) would get the respect he deserves and I bet Sean would not do a soft-ball interview either.
Unfortunately , I think President Bush has to keep appearing with the main stream press to counteract their propaganda machine. It's the only way to get his side of things out. He can't rely on the DNC propagandists' to be fair and balanced.
Over all I thought it was a good for President Bush to do the interview , even if he had to say the same thing over and over, that's all you can do when dealing with stupid people- you have to keep explaining until they get it.
Wouldn't you love to see a side by side comparison of Sawyer's interview style/questions with the Clinton's , compared to the Bush's? I bet that would be enlightening about Sawyer's bias.
