I blame all the Consideration of Others courses promoted by "Hillary's favorite general".
Hehehehehe...
Thanks also for your kindness, appreciation of, and participation on this tribute thread.

This one always gets me...
A soldier from the 3rd Infantry Division is baptized in the desert on March 12 in an improvised baptism pool. Other soldiers, barefoot in the background, await their baptisms. Eight soldiers were baptized that day.

Yeah, I'm especially amused by all the salamis hanging from the tree. Must be wonderful eating (shudder).

That's what I enlisted to do in 1972. They didn't pay attention to my marital status till the end of basic.
The someone says, "You can't be Pararescue, you're married". I said "duh, the recruiter knew that". I fought it for an hour or two them accepted one year electronics school at Keesler AFB. Then spent 3 years in SAC.

I hope that, since 9/11, Afghanistan and Iraq, that many more people in the general public feel a genuine connection to their Armed Forces.

To every American in uniform this Christmas season; you are the best! Thanks for making us proud!
And to President Bush; thanks for being the sort of CinC to inspire such greatness in our armed forces!

You set me up for another poem.
Saddam
They found him in a spider hole,
Just like we knew they would.
Though we are glad I'm sure the Dems,
Feel this is not too good.
I'm sure they all are saddened now,
For Saddam's in our hand.
The French, the Germans, chant along,
The Russians lead the band.
They want the contracts to rebuild,
The Dems want Bush to fail.
Death for Saddam is too swift,
Lets let him rot in jail.
Congratulations to our troops,
And to our leader here.
George Bush is still the man to lead,
He gets my vote next year.
