Recording Stupid Leftist Comments (On the Capture of Hussein) for Posterity
The American Partisan ^ | 14 December, 2003 | J. King

Posted on 12/14/2003 7:16:40 PM PST by The Right Stuff

Okay, folks, here is our chance to record - for all time - the dimwitted comments made by leftwingers in the U.S. regarding the fall of the evil dictator, Saddam Hussein.

Imagine that you are in occupied Europe in 1945, and it's your duty to get collaborators commentary out - written down on your trusty Underwood.

It's our duty and our privilege. Write on.

Here's a sampling of what I've found:
Washington (com)Post writer Robin Wright, "this isn't going to transform the situation"
Time's Joe Klein, "another terrorist attack on America would completely change this dynamic."
Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich, "we must...end the occupation of Iraq"
Presidential Candidate John F'ing Kerry, "It's a good day for Iraqis, but Americans are still going to die."
Dan Rather, "think of how poor Saddam must feel" paraphrased.
CNN - "the Iraqis don't care, there's not enough electricy and there are gas lines." Also, "why did it take so long?"
MSNBC - "the insurgents are too well organized to quit."
Campbell Brown - "This should help President Bush."
NPR - repeated the no-gas, no-water line
Paula Zahn and Aaron Brown - "Bush had better not gloat."
Yasser Arafat, taking a page away from Tom Daschle, is "saddened."
Evan Thomas, he of the infamous "thrice married shlub" slam against Rush Limbaugh, writes that "in a land where pride and dignity mean anything, the images (of Saddam being examined by US military doctors) are clearly intended to shame."
DUH, Evan, perhaps they were meant to show that - unlike Saddam and his tree shredder buddies - US doctors humanely treat even our worst enemies.

And then there are our friends at Democratic Underground. They inhabit a true Middle Earth, rife with demonical conspiracies devilishly enacted by that sub-human Neanderthal George W. Bush. How Bush can be so stupid and yet so devious remains to be explained.

According to our DU buddies, Bush was "jealous of Clinton, and with Wes Clark on his way to Sarajevo in order to testify against Milosevic, Bush had to nab Hussein."
Other theories posit that the exuberant street dancing by Iraqis, "appeared staged."
And, that the capture was an elaborate "photo op."

One almost has to feel sorry for such types. At least we can offer them a one way ticket to the destination of their choice - France?

"I can vouch for the latest CNN line. I just heard it on the Aaron Brown show. (he is unbearable)."

Hmmmmmm...........gee golly.............as their ratings swirl down the commode and FNC continues to soar.

Hello, CNN executive staff? Ever wonder why you're losing market share faster than you can say "New Coke"??

"Rumsfeld was interviewed on CBS? by some leftist liberal angry bitter woman. She was trying to put words in Rumsfeld's mouth about the WMD and it was funny how he put her in her place."

That must have been 60 Minutes tonight. Lesley Stahl kept grilling Secretary Rumsfeld and implying that we were preparing to "torture" Saddam. He calmly insisted that we were not going to torture him, but Ms. Stahl wouldn't give up.
Rumsfeld dismissed her with, "I'm not going to tell you anything that I haven't already told you."

LOL.

"There are times when Matthews can act rather reasonable, but throughout the entire day, he was making some of the most ignorant comments I've ever heard him make. He was being rude to Peggy Noonan and even a couple liberal guests he had."

Noticed the same. Chris is one of the few Dems I actually pay attention to, but tonight he was off stride. I got tired of him phrasing loooong statements inside his questions. Peg kept trying to answer him, and kept getting interrupted by the question she was attempting to respond too.

OMG she is hot :)

Presidential Candidate John F'ing Kerry, "It's a good day for Iraqis, but Americans are still going to die."

I find it appalling that this POS had the nerve to say that.
Someone needs to drop the hammer on him "kerry" quick!

I agree. We can add Katie Couric to this thread, she showed up in mourning black and grilled General Sanchez aggressively. What a clymer.

What CNN was saying right off the bat was insane..."Iraqis will not care,"

That's why I haven't watched CNN since our cable system started carrying Fox News. Much better for my blood pressure.

It doesn't look as though we shaved Saddam's mustache when we shaved his beard. THAT would have been intended to humiliate

That is an excellent point. Clearly, you have a far better understanding of ME cultural norms and traditions than do the talking heads.

I happened to be awake when the story broke...While CNN was reporting it, Fox was talking about Michael Jackson...

They hate America, but they REALLY hate anything that
might be seen as a positive for George W. Bush.

Talking about Michael Jackson - gag. I usually hit the remote when that start yapping about MJ, or Kobe, or Scott. I already know more about those cases than I care to know. Anyway, by the time I got up, they were reporting the SoDamn Insane capture.

I'll have to give credit to CNN; they're usually first on breaking news, especially breaking international news.

But the spin they were putting on the capture was absolutely nauseating. Since I rarely watch it, I'm not sure if it was coming from their International or US bureau.

the reason why we dind't shave his mustache, is because we wanted him to look like the "old" Saddam.

Releasing video of the doctor going through his hair looking for lice was supposed to be humiliating, and they were right to release it. He needed to be humiliated and shamed, and that was its purpose.

So speaking of that, have we heard from Tim Robbins or Babs Streisand yet?

Timmy and Babs are too busy coordinating Iraqi dead-ender attacks from their Hollywood spider hole. General Robbins has said the attacks must continue if he is to maintain any credibility with his French allies.
(/sarcasm)
