SADDAM Hussein was no longer in Iraq, the US television network CBS reported today, citing unidentified military sources.
A CBS News correspondent in Saddam's northern Iraq hometown of Tikrit, near where Saddam was captured yesterday, said he had learned from military sources that the former Iraqi president was no longer in the country.
US Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, the top US military commander in Iraq, said in Baghdad that Saddam "is currently under coalition custody and at an undisclosed location".

It would be interesting if Saddam tells who in the media and weapons inspectors he was effectively blackmailing.

Aircraft carrier?
He should get equal time: stepping out of a jet, in a flight suit onto the flight deck.
But he ain't gonna' like that "Mission Accomplished, You @$$HOLE!" banner.

Unconfirmed reports have him being moved to San Francisco where the expectation is that after a few weeks there he'll be so wierded out that he will confess to anything.

Saddam is a coward and will spill his guts.
Wonder how much we'll get to hear of what he says?
And... this may be a crazy thought -but will Bush want to look this man in the eye? See him face to face? Kind of give him the Tony Soprano look?!

Wonder if he has a valid passport. And does he qualify for frequent flyer miles? Can't see him making it past airport security. Although, since they can't profile.....

They're transporting him to a location where they can park him for a while and fully debrief him. Several sources have said this AM that Saddam is in a "talkative mood". They need to take immediate advantage of that. It would be great for Dubya politically if he pointed us to stashes of WMDs. But it would be better for the war effort if he could give us detailed info about the resistance.
Get ready for at least a few days of extreme violence. The dead-enders are now going to shoot their wad before they sneak away.
