[history]
Roosevelt School in Tulare appeared to be the only elementary school affected by today's planned statewide boycott by Hispanics.
"We have almost 200 kids out," Principal Barbara Xavier said, noting the campus has the most Hispanic students in the Tulare City School District.

No my kids are not in an institution where they must be taken care of.
Thank you for your concern.
You completely missed the point of my sarcasm.
I'll go slower for you.
Im saying that because they are boycotting school they will not complete their education.
They will not be able to secure better paying positions.
My kids are in an institution. An institution of higher learning.
Given the current smaller numbers entering college my kids will be in great demand for higher paying jobs.
Statistics show clearly that those with better educations earn more than those with lesser educations.
These school boycotters will have to take menial manual labor jobs such as gardening.
These Hispanics boycotting school will be gardening for my kids, washing my kids cars, flipping burgers and digging trenches.

"...I don't know if going across town will stop bad schools... how do you mean?? I am sure some are from Farmersville and Woodlake, but the schools are much better there either..."- Poterville
Based on the above article- Do you think the reason they are boycotting is because of the quality of the school(s)?

I used to live in California where on any given day, during school hours, you could see convoys of teenage girls pushing their new babies in government issued strollers as they made their way to hang out at the mall with their baggy pants boy friends and deal some crack. Its great to be young, isn't it?
To: William Creel
I thought Laura is part Hispanic too??? I'm not certain though.

which 1/3 VOTE CONSERVATIVE and growing.... The percentage of CONSERVATIVES among hispanics is dropping. 40 years ago they voted mostly conservative. The reasons for that is that 40 years ago the hispanic vote was predominantly Cuban-American and some SW hispanic American. The percentages are changing with the high welfare and government dependent classes moving in from Mexico -- and they aren't the Catholics you think with a very high teen and illegitimacy rate ---- in high schools with many immigrants from Mexico --- it's common for girls to have 2 or 3 babies before age 18.

Well, It would be safe to assume the boycotters were probably in the bottom 20% of the school grades-wise.
The class that had six probably has 20 in a normal day and its a probably a remedial class.

The drop out rate is 40-50% anyhow ---- they don't take school very seriously ---- just like they don't take it seriously in Mexico where many never go to school at all and public school is only for 6 grades.

In Houston they have been boycotting for years. It's called dropping out. Too many do it. The HISD has lied about it for years but it's catching up with them.

Whether Clinton's family has uneducated kids or not I cannot answer.
If he does I'd bet they do well given their connection to such a prominent well connected politico.
If they had no such connection then they'd be taking on menial manual labor jobs such as gardening, washing cars, flipping burgers and digging trenches
They will not be able to secure better paying positions.
Statistics show clearly that those with better educations earn more than those with lesser educations.

"75 percent of the school is Mexican" 75% Mexican-American or 75% Mexican NATIONALS ?
These people are going to have to make their minds up to which country their loyalties are going to be to. I don't think they can have it both ways.

This just goes to show WHY the California school budget is alway busted. Actually, it shows the California people where much of their tax dollars have gone for years.
