I'm sorry to have to report that one of our own Freepers, TrappedInLiberalHell, has passed away. His profile is HERE

I met Chris this past summer and found him to be a brilliant young man, who unfortunately carried around a lot of painful psychological troubles. He wrote few posts here, but was an active and clever noter, and a very sweet young man.

I agree. although I would add "can't" in your last clause.

Yes, it is evil, the dark side, the devil, whatever one wants to call it. But just as there is the yin and the yang, there is the force for creation and the force for destruction.

Human beings are a very special creation and as such, we are given a lot of "destructive" distractions/impulses etc. The dark wants to destroy the light...

Sometimes the impulse to destroy is irresistible.

Depression is 90% physical. Daily exercise, a vitamin B complex, and sufficient sleep will do wonders to prevent it. For the remaining 10%--prayer.

That's all anyone needs. There is no abyss so deep that prayer cannot lift us out of.

Oh not everyone may have seen it BUT I got my screen name after watching Kill Switch episode of X Files. The very idea of launching ones consciousness into cyberspace was/still is of particular interest to me.

evident in after death expereinces & also many who develop or have naturally the ability.

Saw it on occasion in my hospial/hospice years as a chaplain

Watch your back. It's almost like asking a Freeperette if she's ever had an abortion. A potential trap, ammunition for flaming.

We don't know about his life. Maybe he did try for "medication and treatment."

I can tell you I've been on antidepressants from time to time--they are NOT easy to com off of, btw.

I guess I feel like science and medication fills a gap--and thank goodness for modern medicine.

All I can say is, we didn't walk in his shoes, so let's not criticize, especially here.

People are given a certain path in life, burdens to bear. I believe we must learn from them, and sometimes the learning is not easy.
