POWELL, Ohio -- Police said they found a home invasion suspect impaled on a wrought iron fence Wednesday night when responding to a 911 call at a home in an upscale Delaware County neighborhood, NewsChannel 4's Larry Roberts reported.
A 911 call was made at about 7 p.m. stating that a man with a gun was inside a Woodbridge Avenue home in Liberty Township. When investigators arrived at the home in the Wedgewood housing subdivision, they said they found two residents in the home's courtyard bleeding from their arms and another person, the unidentified suspect, impaled at the thigh on the fence.
Rescue crews had to use extrication equipment to cut the fence and free the suspect, Roberts reported. Part of the fence was still stuck inside the suspect when he was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
The victims, Mark Brentlinger, 39, and Brian McDonald, 41, were transported to Riverside Hospital. There is no word on their conditions.
"At this point, we don't know if the intent was to look for a specific item or what motivated the robbery or home invasion," Delaware County Sheriff Al Myers said.
Brentlinger is an executive with Midwestern Auto Group of Dublin.

Uh huh.
I'm usually heartwarmed by tales of the bad guy ended up being medevac'd, but...the apparent increase of Arab aliens committing violent, senseless crimes worries me.
Were I a legal Arab-origin resident or Arab American, I'd be getting into some serious activism to get all the "Ehsan Mahalati" types kicked out of the country. Another 9/11, God forbid there should be one, will heterodyne with cases like this, and there will be a horrible and indiscriminate bloodbath of the innocent and guilty alike--so long as they are associated in any way with Islam or the Arab race.
Al-Qaeda is deluded to think they'd win that. We have far better weapons. Once we have reason to quit tiptoeing around world and pacifist opinion we WILL have to kill a lot of Muslims. Speaking as someone who lived in a mostly Muslim country for two years--I don't like that idea. But I see it coming, because tolerance for terrorism is too entrenched in Islamic cultures, including in the US.
And a home invasion coupled with stabbings is terrorism, albeit not on a nationwide front-page scale.
The problem with not cleaning your own house is that sooner or later someone else does it for you--without much regard to your comfort.

I wonder if the death-scene photo can compare with one from NYC posted here last year?

The impaled one sounds like a candidate for the DARWIN awards and may be a winner.
The absent Ohio State University student from Iraq sounds like a Dishonorable Mention for the awards.

Part of the fence was still stuck inside the suspect when he was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital. It was simply WRONG to damage that very excellent fence in order minimize this insufferable perp's pain and injury. It's not like HE's going to pay to restore it to it's original beauty and functionality!

I can't recall which movie it was in, but I think Rodney Dangerfield had
the best response to this sort of situation:
(with sarcastic tone and mild laughter): "Stop it, stop it, you're breakin' my f---in heart!"

Part of the fence was still stuck inside the suspect. . . . He needs a de-fence attorney.

After a suitable jail term, of course. But then, we could pay the new Iraqi government to imprison him...

"... The victims, Mark Brentlinger, 39, and Brian McDonald, 41, were transported to Riverside Hospital." Seeing as we have two home invasion victims being males in their late 30s/early 40s sharing the same domicile having been attacked by a Iraqi who is most probably a member of the 'Religion-O-Peace®', I wonder if the motive the police should be looking for is a hate crime against homosexuals perpetrated by an fundamentalist Islamist?

"He needs a de-fence attorney." I found one in the Yellow Pages. Her name is Atty. Barb Wyre, but she only de-fences burglars when the stakes are high.
