I'll stand with W as well. Nobody in the last 60 years of US history has had more placed on their shoulders. Every ankle-biter known to man is trying to impede him. IMO he has overcome odds greater than you or I can even imagine. Is he perfect? Far from it, but he's still got my vote.

"We must support him"
This thinking is part of the problem.
He is supposed to represent US.
He is supposed to be the leader and take his direction from us.
He is supposed to put Americans and the needs of this nation before all others.
In my opinion he has not done these things adequately.
Therefore, he has not yet earned my vote.
(I could not possibly vote for any of the democrat candidates based on their positions so don't start with the "helping elect democrats" Cunard)

It is my goal to conserve America's wonderful, non-living Constitution, and to forever preserve the personal and economic freedoms that embody our way of life. And if only GWB shared those aims..
Our daily resistance may be the biggest obstacle to the federal pacman swallowing up fifty percent of the economy.
What "resistance"? Everyone who continues to vote for the R's because they are the "lesser of two evils" presents no "obstacle" whatsoever.
Sadly, some conservatives now feel more comfortable with leftists than they do their own kind...
And most of them are elected officials.
In the latest issue of The New Criterion, we see that his appointments to the National Endowment of the Arts have had a wonderful effect.
Arguing for your man by citing as an example an un-Constitutional agency within the government. Simply brilliant.
Let´s proudly stand by our man as he loudly subsumes the popular positions of the left while promoting many of ours in the shadows though his judges, appointees, and minions.
Go right ahead and vote as you see fit. It's a free country (though substantially less free than when Bush took office), for a little while longer anyway.
Those of us who actually respect the Constitution won't be pulling the lever for Socialist Party B over Socialist Party A.

The Rubicon will be the
new, expanded assault weapons bill that President Bush has promised to sign. If that happens the frogs are gonna jump out of the pot enmasse and vote third party.
Pappy Bush was a one termer because of third party defection by conservatives and if W crosses the line it'll be Deja Vu '92 with a low I.Q. named "W" who ignored his father's political mistakes.

I'll stand with George W. BushI will not,I did not in 2000 and won't in 2004. Plain and simple, Bush is a Rinorat, I don't like them and won't vote for them.

I think it's wishful thinking to want to vote "for" somebody in this age of advancing mainstream Socialism in the U.S. How the welfare state continues to expand in this country after the fall of Communism and the evidence of the economic basket case which is Socialist Europe amazes me, but be that as it may, a principled Conservative or Libertarian doesn't have a chance of being elected in this country in the near future. (The majority of voters are misinformed "moderates" of one ilk or the other. Their common sense makes them scared of the extreme left, but liberal propaganda that smears Conservatives also makes them scared of the so-called "extreme" right.) The best we can do is vote against those who want to advance into Socialism at a flat-out run and embrace those who want to creep into it slowly. This is a terrible choice, I know, but it's the only one I see. When Social Security, Medicare, or some other Socialistic boondoggle finally crashes, it will be best if the country is as unsocialized as possible so that everything won't come tumbling down at once. For that reason, I also say stand by George Bush in 2004. Consider the alternative.

As of this moment, as a proud conservative, George W. Bush has done more to earn my vote than any other American alive today.

In my mind, there are far too many real enemies out there to waste time and print fighting one another. An amen to that! I am so digusted with the eating of our own going on.
WAKE UP! The other party are down and dirty socialists. And I don't mean just not being as conservative as you like when it comes to spending either!

So your point is to hold your nose and vote for the best of the worst and not for one's belief system?
That's nonsense. There is no reason Bush cannot turn to conservative roots and knock off the nonsense of 100 billion in corporate subsidies.
To: happykidjill
Great post.
We do not want any of the Dems as president. This means we have to support Dubya even if we should be rightfully ticked at him for various things.
It's also important that se support conservatives in the primaries for national office.
Vote Pat Toomey, Pennsylvania.
