I find namecalling offensive. That's what you started. I didn't find your post to be in support of me. If it was, oh well. I ask no support.
I only seek honest debate on topics. It's hard to find around here. Anytime someone posts something that another finds disagreeable, they start attacks, not on the message, but the messenger. It's pitiful.
Now go call someone else names. You should be ashamed of yourself. But I'm sure your not.

This is the comment you made:
Anyone who votes for anyone on moral grounds is fundamentally insane

Anyone who votes for anyone on moral grounds is fundamentally insane. But not in a vacuum. I responded to someone else. Taking things out of context is business as usual. Anyway, you go your way, I'll go mine.
Without any parting shots, particularly misleading shots.

I find namecalling offensive. But you've done your share of it on this threat, haven't you? You can dish it out, but you can't take it.
I didn't find your post to be in support of me. If it was, oh well. I ask no support.
If I want to support one of your posts, you'll take and like it.

You've been doing exactly what you're accusing other of doing. And we all see through your transparent word play. You're not good at it.
Now go call someone else names. You should be ashamed of yourself. But I'm sure your not.
That's more of the phoney transparent stuff I mentioned above. Grow up.

Defeating drugs by jailing users has been a great success, hasn't it! It is nonsense trying to stop supply. It isn't going to happen. Take away everything and they will sniff gasoline.

He was right. Same God, different view of him. I'm sorry I simply do not aggree. The God of the Bible is not the same as the one the Muslims worship. Allah was an Arabian moon god (an idol origianally) while Jehovah was never an idol.
When God gave instuctions to the Israelites regarding how he (Jehovah) was to be worshiped, the Lord was very careful to make sure that his temple was constructed and managed in such a way so that visitors from a foreign land would not confuse him with pagan idols and other pagan gods worshipped during the day.

"Can anyone telling me why the benefit of 60 Republican Senators outweighs the liberal gesture by George Bush?"
Is that a 'gimme' question? Easy.
A Scalia or a Ginsburg lasts on the Supreme Court for 20 or 30 years, but an appropriation lasts for 1 year.
The battle with liberalism is being joined in the courts, and their only hope is to enforce liberalism through abuse of constitutional interpretation. We can stop it only with appointments.
So priority #1 is getting conservatives on the Federal bench.
60 Republican senators is worth it. Of course the implications go far beyond the courts. If we have a majority in the Congress and the White House and dont blow it, we could thoroughly and totally defund the left and rescue our political system and our culture. It is worth a try, that is for sure!

I see in it a logical conclusion that, in spite of differences, this writer is supporting Bush because it is the wisest thing to do for those of us with Conservative values. And I agree. It is. Dittos on that. We can critique him when he is wrong, but let's not lose perspective.

"The main difference between Dean and Dubya appears to be speed of implementation."
How fast was Dean going to implement Iraqi liberation?
How fast will Bush implement Kyoto that Dean supports?
How fast will Dean implement the tax cuts that Bush passed?
(oops he wont, he wants to repeal them)
How fast would Dean pass partial birth abortion? (oops he wont)
How fast will Dean implement medical savings accounts? (oops he wont) support for energy production in the US? (oops he wont)
would Dean stand up to the UN on the ICC and other matters? No.
It's not a speed issue, there is a world of difference between the 2.
... you expressed bumper sticker logic that doesnt match reality. Try again.

I assume you had a point in posting that comment to me, but I'm not sure what it was.
I'll repeat the point of my post.
A voter cannot support a Libertarian candidate, and use morality as a reason for doing so.
While I'm sure many libertarians believe in morality, their platform supports license without responsibility.........which is not morality.

There are things that every conservative disagrees with that this President has done, but most of us understand that there is much more at stake than prescription drugs or the farm bill.Sorry, the Constitution is important to some of us, just not the President and GOP legislators.

You won't have to worry about it if you're dead at the hands of a terrorist, now will you?
We're at WAR. Sorry if you haven't grasped that yet.

I would rather die as a free man than live as a slave. There is no excuse to destroy the Constitution. Not one.
To: Sir Gawain
Oh, brother.....
So now Bush is making a slave out of you?? Give me a BREAK!
Our country is in need of protection because PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO KILL US.....including YOU! It is the President's job to protect this country from its enemies, and there is no one better suited to do that job right now that President Bush.
There will BE no Constitution if there that is not done.

there is no one better suited to do that job right now that President Bush. And he could do that while not destroying the Constitution. National defense and upholding your oath of office are not mutually exclusive.
