C-Ya tomorrow I'm sure :)

Since most middle class families only average 1.3 childre I don't know a single family that has .3 kids. I sometimes wonder about my oldest son though. As for your other examples, EVERY class pays the same amount of sales tax, homeowners bear the brunt of property taxes and renters are shut out of the mortgage deduction benefit. Now we can talk about non-federal income taxes if you want BUT, that was the basis of my comment so I was not wrong. The simple fact is that the middle-class family has it pretty darned good and the average middle-class individual is a consumer of one or more of the federal government programs I listed above.

You are one of the troopers who keeps us at the top of our game! Your positive voice needs a good rest because tomorrow we renew the battle!

The article in the next link explains that situation. The lady was blatantly violating the law and then didn't even show up for court. Huh according to the Vermont Supreme court, the Dean administered education system was wrong.

As far as immigration he supports a 'guest worker' policy and legalization for those already here but only if earned. At least it's a plan.
I hadn't heard that he wants to raise taxes. I do know that in Vermont, he lowered taxes twice. He also decreased the sales tax.

I know....I have read it somewhere -- the complete thing and I can't find it.
But what is the difference between flat out accusing him, and slyly laying it out on the table?

Thanks for your responses :-)
I've read some of the articles too, thanks. I'll have to try to get back to everyone tomorrow because it's so late/early. Sweet dreams...

His comment only cements it for me that he's out there among the kook fringe. What Dean said has been floating around in the kook anti-Bush conspiracy crowd since 9/11. The same caliber of kooks that said 9/11 was all planned ahead of time by "Bush and Co.". Pundits have said he may move to the center once he gets the nomination. Time will tell.

This is a fruitless debate for sure.
But on sales taxes, etc.. the middle class pays more because they purchase more consumer goods to furnish that home, boat, vehicle, care for their lawn, etc... and have you ever had to pay realestate taxes in a middle class neighborhood? I have. I payed an average of $4500 to $6500 per year.
But let's put this debate aside for a while the real issue is where we take this country.
United we stand. Divided we fall. Don't forget that.
To: BigSkyFreeper
Well, did you hear that the reason Dean wants his records kept sealed is because he personally performed thousands of abortions?
See how that works? :-)

The latter gives one an exit strategy, at least in their amoral little minds. I agree that it is nausiating and McCarthyite. I hope and trust that Bush isn't a dry alcoholic and coke head with mental impairments as a consequence, and that he will satisfy us that none of these concerns have any merit, and that he will see the wisdom of releasing all his medical records, and visit a neurosurgeon and take a mental test, and release the results, so that all of this can be put to rest. Do you get the drift?

Yep I pay over 5k a year in property taxes and deduct every penny.

United we stand. Divided we fall. Don't forget that. Well I must have missed that part of your first post to me. I kinda got side tracked with your "gums and boot" endearment.

I hadn't heard that he(Dean) wants to raise taxes Oh I guess, Dean saying that he wants to repeal the Bush tax cuts(which has been plastered all over the press), is not raising taxes.
Excuse me for not parsing correctly.

He stumbled and changed topics when Tim Russert asked him about his Planned Parenthood days and asked if he had performed abortions. The way he answered this kook conspiracy "theory" farce was eerily similar in the delivery, add to it, his lies about Bush sealing his records for 50 years, Dean stumbled. He's becoming so obvious the more he gets facetime it's laughable. ;)
To: Dane
Giving everyone Univeral Health Care is "raising everyones taxes", repealing tax cuts is "raising taxes". The only way government takes in money is by "raising taxes".
To: Torie
Well I think you are a swell guy and I don't agree with the rumor going around about you. I do think though that it would be best if you dressed it head on. I would tell you what the rumor is but I just hate unfounded gossip. LOL
To: Texasforever
you do not deduct every penny like you say. You only reduce the the amount of taxable income by about 10 %. That $5,000 you paid in taxes only allows you to recover about $250.00 of it in relation to the income tax you would pay in that bracket.
Like I said, ask any accountant.
