MANCHESTER, N.H., Dec. 8 Former Vice President Al Gore will endorse Howard Dean for the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday, Democratic sources said Monday, a move that could cement Deans position in the fight for the partys nod.
GORE, WHO LOST to President Bush in the disputed 2000 election, will endorse Dean, the former governor of Vermont, in New York City on Tuesday and then travel with him to Iowa, the site of the Jan. 19 caucuses that kick off the nominating process.
The development was first reported by The Associated Press, which quoted a Democratic source close to Gore, and confirmed independently by NBC News. The Democratic source said Dean would return from Iowa in time for the Democratic debate Tuesday night in New Hampshire.

"Hillary is going to be very, very angry about this endorsement, because she has given strict orders that Dean is not to be allowed to get out in front of the pack."
Bill and Hillary seem like the Ahab and Jezebel of our times: simpering, sensual male + domineering, cunning woman.
Old Jezebel thought she was going to do Elijah in, but look what happened to her. Ahab didn't fare too well, either.

LOL I suppose you've got no problem with his bringing his anti-2nd Amendment views with him. Who knows, maybe the Republicans would give him a spot on the Judiciary Committee.
Lieberman's as much a Democrat as Teddy Kennedy. They deserve each other.

Would be poetic justice that the undoing of Hill & Bill is another democrat.
I believe that Dean will unleash the "truth" to black America by reminding them what Bill did to Maynard Jackson who was the NEXT person to be in line for the what finally became McAwful's job.
He will remind all the NY blacks about how the Dems withheld money from the black candidate in NY (forget his name think it was Hall????)
He will remind all the blacks in America that Pelosi was better than Harold Ford....
He will remind ALL blacks in the democrat party that the Clinton's have had a crap fest against black America.
Sharpton WANTS to tell black America, but is afraid...and the other 8 candidates are too stupid and afraid to discuss the dirty little evil truth.
Dean will undo the Clinton's by pointing out THESE TRUTHS!
That is why it is so impoertant for Dean to wrap up the southern Nascar red neck vote...he has to have them in place before he unleashes the "black taken for granted war". He has to have the "possible racists comfortably in his corner FIRST".
The Clinton's had systematically crapped on all the blacks near the top of the party to instead hand out the jobs to their crony friends.
The beginning of the end is right around the corner...wait and see McAwful will announce he has better things to do soon...give it a few weeks and Hillary will have NO choice but to throw her hat in the ring even tho she DREADS this 2004 election...she will realize that the evidence against black democrats that will be brought to the forefront will be done by a party member...and she won't be able to be sluffed off the facts as "dirty partisan politics"...or mud being thrown by the republicans...
I still believe all of this will eventually have Hillary running against GW in 2004.

Are you folks serious? And people wonder why there are daily threads discussing why libertarians and other constitutional conservatives are abandoning the GOP.
Is becoming the party that grows government the fastest, has the most debt, takes away the most liberty, your goal for the GOP? Is your only answer to move left, to adopt socialist policies and let socialists into the party? Is this how we are going to promote small government (and subsequently low taxes), Natural Rights, private property, and personal responsability?
Do you even care about smaller government, lower taxes, less government programs, less regulation, Natural Rights?
This is truly disgusting to read on FR. Is this a conservative forum or am I reading Bizzaro Free Republic?
God help us!

Yeah. I am saying the Republicans are not conservative enough, and you think I am going to vote for Dean or Clark?
Either you've had too much to drink, or not enough.

Bush hasn't kept all of his promises.
He hasn't signed the renewal of the Assault Weapons Ban.
Yet.

You think renewing the Assault Weapons Ban is a good thing?
Am I understanding this correctly?

Lieberman is scum. He proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt by supporting Gore's attempt to steal the election and destroy the Constitutional process of electing the President.
LIEberman belongs in the DemoRat party with the other perpetrators. If he had any love or respect for this country, he would have condemned his party in 2000 and switched parties.

The sources described the endorsement as a way for Gore to maneuver himself to challenge former President Bill Clinton and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, for supremacy within the Democratic Party. ....and could position him to challenge Hillary Clinton for the 2008 nomination should Dean lose the general election next year. Is Al suicical, deluded, or acting in concert w/ Hitlery?

Do you even care about smaller government, lower taxes, less government programs, less regulation, Natural Rights?Yes.
My offense was that I said I liked Joe Lieberman and that he is a DINO. I don't forget that he is from the enemy party.
BTW, Joe was pretty vocal during the 2000 debacle about not throwing out military ballots. Lip service? Well, Gore had to distance himself from throwing out military ballots to avoid appearing to be jerk. At the time, I was unwilling to give Lieberman the benefit of the doubt, but now I am.
