Gee whiz...does this mean Al Gore really wasn't a centrist, but all along was a hard-left, socialist liberal?

I'm so confused. /sarcasm

No, he wants to be the DNC. Dean becomes de facto leader of the DNC when he gets the nomination, McAuliffe is out and the Dean and Gore choice is in. Dean will pay Gore plenty in favors for this endore.

Exactly. This is a struggle for control of the Dem Party. The early endorsement is meant to steamroll the Clintons. It wil interesting to see if either Bill or Hil will explicitly endorse a candidate now. Then it will be a battle of Titans (or dwarfs) to see what the outcome is.

I know that its so totally un-PC to say this;

But there ain't no way that middle america is going to vote for a jew for president whilst the rag-heads are running around in the mid-east.

And, even the dolt, alGore, knows that!

So, will this force the Beestie's hand in 2004? Wonder if she has figured on having to contend with Gore in '08 all along...

It must feel good to be Al Gore today. He finally gets to plunge a knife into the Clintons, something he has owed them for a long time.

My thoughts exactly!

Howard, since he just got smacked with the kiss of death?

Howie should be saddened, but he's not. Algore wouldn't be making this endorsement without Dean's blessing, and probably a lot of behind-the-scenes haggling as well. (Over what, we can only speculate.)

I don't feel sorry for him. He learned nothing from his experience in 2000. And he continues to willingly walk in ignorance. He doesn't warrant pity. IMHO

Gore stabs HIS OWN VP CHOICE in the back before the first caucuses? The shamelessness, klutziness and sheer stupidity of this man is immeasurable. What a dope!!!! Hee hee!

Now that Algore has jumped into the act, we have a full complement of extras to complete the filming of the Bar Scene in "STAR WARS"!

I have a funny feeling about this and I can't put my finger on it...algore is either doing this with the Clinton's approval or working against them....the Clinton's and McAwful have too much to lose and will never yield their power.

Lieberman isn't much better than most liberal Democrats, but he was a decent human being. He didn't deserve this

Business is business. Gore knows Lieberman is a loser. If he wants to gain control of the party, he needs to back a winner--at least for the nomination.

What does Gore want in a Dean administration? State or Interior?

The DUmmies all think that Dean/Clark is going to be the ticket now..has there been an accord reached with the Clinton Crime Syndicate and the Dean camp?

Clark as VP in exchange for not firing the Clintonistas at the DNC??

With friends like Algore, who needs enemies...

No sympathy here, lieberman is as big a whore as albore. He proved that when he took to the floor of the Sinate and condemned clintbilly but didn't call for resignation.

When he signed on with albore, he just proved he was the ultimate whore.

Sounds like Santa made an early visit to the good doctor.

Could be. Craig Crawford just said on MSNBC that Algore is sitting on eight million in campaign cash and the question is, will he be turning it over to Dean. I would think he will. What else would he do with it?
