You've got a whole town named after you, Wow, I'm impressed. :)

Rhode Island reporting in.
Got about 4 inches yesterday evening, about 4 more overnight, and so far about an additional 2 today...with no end in sight.
Power's still on, and the roads are somewhat navigable (is that a word?).
We're staying in though...keeping warm and toasty. Once the snow finally stops, then I'll venture out and shovel.

Checking in from the hills of northern New Jersey. Lots of snow on the ground, and I've decided that plowing the roads is a bad idea -- it makes stupid drivers think they can get around easily.
In a 4x4, getting around in ten inches of snow is easier than trying to cope with people who have no business being on the road at a time like this.
It sure is beautiful out in this neck of the woods, though.

Well here on Long Island Where on the Island are you located? I'm from Huntington but relocated to Albany several years ago. Miss the Island, especially the sensation of sand and the smell of the ocean .... uhmmmmm.

BTW, Buffalo is NOT "upstate NY", we are in WESTERN NY. Thanks for the reminder! Don't worry ... lake effect snows are headed your way at some point in the winter. ;-D Then I can gloat.
It's now 4pm here in Albany. We have officially reached 10" and heavy bands of snow are blanketing the Hudson Valley with more whiteout conditions. The plow came through here only once today. It's complete silence outside.
Have shoveled the patio 2x already for the basset hound boys who reside here.

I live in Hempstead, Nassau County. Yeah I like the beach too, but didn't get to go this year. Albany is nice, esp. the train ride up there.

Once the snow finally stops, then I'll venture out and shovel. Wise move! If you are expecting more than 1 foot, you may want to remove it in stages. They are now projecting more than 16" here by tomorrow morning with additional snow showers during the day on Sunday, and it's not even winter!

Just got back inside from shoveling round number three since midnight. The little guy (three years old and tough as nails) had his own small scale shovel and pitched in. I'd rather do it this way than wait to wrestle with the full accumulation....North Shore LI.

Were you watching O'Reilly last night as he drove in from wherever he lives and was late for his program? John Gibson started it with a phone call from Bill.

No, I did't see that. You'd think he has the sense to leave early.

I live in Hempstead, Nassau County...
I grew up in W. Hempstead, now live in Rochester. Prefer the white sand beaches
of LI to the snow we get here, but this is where the job is.

OK,I wanted 16"
Now, does that sound gay, or what?
