Shoppers make their way down Boylston Street in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, December 6, 2003 during the first winter storm of the season. The Boston area expects over one foot of snow and high winds from the storm.

We got 1"-2" in Calvert County, Maryland. Roads are clear and the sun is out.

I was cut off twice by two White Suv's without their lights on.....I need a drink. Idiot drivers abound, including the ones who drive through fog without their lights! Sit down, relax, lift one from me. Cheers!

Well here on Long Island I see no end to this storm right now. Doing my best to cope...laptop plugged in, Cablevision are behaving themselves, and lots of coffee in the pot.

It's lucky this is a weekend storm. So much easier that way. This could be a tough winter.

Any word on how things are in Fairfield County, Ct.?
To: NYer
Sit down, relax, lift one from me. Cheers! I'm already there. Depending on how many I have today....things could get a bit dicey here at FR.

It's over, here in the Baltimore/DC area. About 9" (5" from Friday, 4" from Saturday), I'd guess. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm worried about elderly parents (80+).

Conditions in Las Vegas, are nice, temp is 60 degrees, all planes are now running on time. Las Vegas just became the nation's number one direct flight location. Palm trees all ready. Montana's snow finally got to me so we had to move to a warmer climate...

Oh dear... yes. At least you are worried. My mother is a home health aide and she left this morning to go be with her patient, the sweetest 94 year old Irishman named Mr.Eugene. His daughter lives three blocks away from him and doesn't care.

Meanwhile here in beautiful Buffalo, NY the sun is shining and if the NY Jets can get here for the game tomorrow, it will be clear and cold. Just like we like it. No snow on the ground here.
Just had to gloat a little since Buffalo always gets all the bad pub for it's snow. Have fun you over there in the snow you guys.
BTW, Buffalo is NOT "upstate NY", we are in WESTERN NY.
FYI.

Checking in from Holden, Maine (Just outside of Bangor) Wind is picking up pretty good here and snow has started to coat the ground. We've battened down the hatches pretty tight, candles and flashlights are ready...and, oh yeah, we're going out shopping for Christmas decorations in about an hour! I LOVE driving in this stuff when I don't have to work.
