Prayers and Miracles From Freepers - In Dire Straits

Exhaling...I thought I would just add this to Logan's room but my request since has become twofold. My brother-in-law Tom who went to San Diego for his son's Marine graduation (Anthony graduated with honors) has landed in a SD hospital immediately after graduation. It does not seem life-threatening and I pray it will all turn out ok.

Now to yet another brother-in-law who is more like a brother to me. He is married to my closest sister. They live in OC. He has been caring for her Dad (long story) and has been sick for quite some time.

Peter is such a wonderful man. Dad is the third elderly parent they have taken in to die in their home. He is Dad's caregiver all day long. Peter is my sister's soulmate.

Pete's lung doctor called today with Lab results and wanted him in for a blood transfusion and kidney tests. It's looking more like Wegener's disease, but that can only be confirmed with a lung biopsy. He is having a kidney ultrasound today.

My sister is beside herself. He is the reason she moved to OC. All her family mostly is here. And she left me behind -g- She is my soul sister.

Please friends, pray for these two guys and Dear God have your Angels whispering in Peter's ear he will stay with us!

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for this FReeper family, called now to prayer. May You abundantly bless each one and grant their petitions as we come before the Throne of Grace.

Look favorably upon Tom and Peter, set aside because of illness. Give wisdom and guidance to those tending them, that they might be strengthened. Thank You that You are the Great Physician .. I pray that You would place Your healing hand upon them, that they might arise to continue the tasks before them. Bring to light any new procedures or medicines that would be of benefit to Peter, for we agree with JustPiper that we seek length of days for those she loves.

Minister to these dear sisters, separated at a critical time ... bridge the miles for them, Father God, that they would feel the closeness that only You can bring. Touch this ailing Dad, for surely he knows the crisis around him. Bring this family the very people and the very words and Your godly assurance that is needed, for You are the source of abundant blessing. This we ask, with praise and petition, in the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Dad could always use prayers -g- He is a very righteous, God-fearing man, a recovering alcoholic of many decades. At his age he has been plagued with much, but my sister and Peter moving him out to the coast was a blessing in increasing his longevity. God love you!

Hopefully, Tom will be home tonight N and if need be for a trip to the OC, you'll be the first I call on -g- Anthony will be home for 30 days

My poor sister Ei is just beside herself. This was her email about Peter:

He was feeling a little better the past few days.
We have no idea how long he's had it (Wegener's). The lung doc is the one who called when the labs came in. Last test has his hemoglobin at 7.5 and the doc said his kidneys weren't functioning....I don't have the numbers for the Creatinine tests. The kidney specialist ordered an ultrasound and some other labs. They were giving him 2 pints of blood Fri. late.He was chatty and totally coherent, ate most of his dinner...but he's lost a lot of weight over the past 4 months..down to 150 from 168

LadyDoc? Will the tests and biopsy determine the Wegner's and how much destruction it has caused?
