This would seem to disprove the 'doctor shopping' allegiations since he couldn't even afford to pay the hired help

If he didn't buy them is there still a crime?
If she says he didn't pay for them, how do we know she's really telling the truth? It is, after all, her word against his.

Rush did commit a faux paux today. I wonder who else noticed? He was talking about the Ohio woman who was sentanced for breastfeeding her baby while driving 65mph. The Ohio woman's defense was that her religion required her to do what her husband commanded. Then Rush said something very close to: If that's a legitimate defense, if I were them, I'd tell the judge I liked peyote.
I was surprised by that comment given his recent drug related problems.

If he didn't pay her and she never got him the pills, who's guilty of what?

Try this on for size, the maid knows Rush is hooked, goes our and buys a bunch of them illegaly on her own intending to blackmail Rush into buying them for a price that would leave her sitting pretty. Rush refuses, maid runs to the tabloids outing Rush as being hooked on painkillers, and making up this story about her being his shopper and still being owed money.

If the drugs were illegal, he doesn't legally owe the drug dealer. If she provided illegal drugs, she's a criminal.
To: hapc
Illegal "debts" are not enforceable through legal process, and I suspect that Rush would consider the payment she received from the tabloid to have terminated any "moral" obligation. Also, any money he paid to her at this point might be construed by authorities as a bribe. Fat chance it would happen, given the scrutiny he faces. And even if he offered payment she would be a fool to take it, for the same reason.

Glad to see Rush has thick skin... he's going to need it. The liberals will not stop piling on now that they see he's down a little bit from problems in his personal life.
To: hapc
Uh...how could we possibly know she's telling the truth? Talk about scraping th ebottom of the barrel for a story. This is the leftist rumor mill doing the same to Rush they've been doing to Bush. It's nothing but BS.
As for the "doctor shopping", there were 3 doctors: one his personal physician, who referred him to two different specialists. One ear nose and throat specialist and one bone man. Normal procedure. Hardly doctor shopping.

Well maybe if the b*tch had kept her mouth shut, she'd have gotten her money and then some.

I can even put into words how I feel about what is happening to Rush. But I have a few thoughts about the matter.
This is obviously a witch hunt aimed at destroying Rush. Admittedly, Rush would not find himself in this situation had he stayed clear of using in the first place but what is done is done. He has admitted to his addiction, sought treatment and seems to sincerly be trying the kick the habit.
Having said that, this latest move is just insane. Doctor shopping. This would be like the police investigating your 18 year old son on drug suspicions and then going out and looking for past crimes he committed to support his habit. Interviewing relatives, friends, etc. seeing if they were ever missing any cash or objects, things of that nature.
Was there ever a big investigation into the activity of, say, Robert Downey, Jr.'s activities or contacts or that idiot that stars on friends (Chandler) who had a painkiller addiction a few years back?
This is scary stuff and right out of the Stalin play book, IMO.
I also think we should show a way to show our support for Rush. Anybody got any ideas?

It seems to me the first rule of doing illegal drug transactions is to take care of the seedy dealer you're doing business with. Sorry, but it's the truth.

If the housekeeper wants to be paid for fencing illegal substances, wouldn't the housekeeper be in some kind of trouble by now?

Tabloid-Limbaugh Still Owes Sizeable Sum in Cash to Housekeeper For Illegal Pills This story has gone from the questionable to the absurd.
Either Rush paid this housekeeper to buy drugs, or he didn't.
Are we now to believe Rush bought them through her on credit?
What's next...her lawsuit?

LOL this reminds me of a story a little while back in a nearby town. It seems some drug dealers were staying at a local motel and thought the maid had stolen some of their cash....so they called the police.
Woops! Guess who got busted? That's right, the drug dealers.

Ya know, the more I hear about the evolving maid story, the better things look for Rush.
