Democratic presidential front-runner Howard Dean pledged Monday night to "break up" the Fox News Channel along with other conservative news outlets owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch. "Eleven companies in this country control 90 percent of what ordinary people are able to read and watch on their television," the ex-Vermont governor complained to MSNBC's Chris Matthews, who then asked the candidate point-blank:
"Would you break up Fox? ... Rupert Murdoch has 'The Weekly Standard.' It has got a lot of other interests. It has got the New York Post. Would you break it up?"
Dean shot back, "On ideological grounds, absolutely yes."
A moment later the "Hardball" host pressed: "Seriously. As a public policy, would you bring industrial policy to bear and break up these conglomerations of power?"
At that point Dean seemed to sense that he had gone too far and began to equivocate, saying, "I don't want to answer whether I would break up Fox or not."
The leading Democrat then explained, "What I'm going to do is appoint people to the FCC that believe democracy depends on getting information from all portions of the political spectrum, not just one."

The leading Democrat then explained, "What I'm going to do is appoint people to the FCC that believe democracy depends on getting information from all portions of the political spectrum, not just one."Because he doesn't think people are smart enough to change the channel.

That must be why they subscribe to CBS news every hour. Even during Rush & Hannity. That must be why they run Planned Parenthood commercials during Hannity's show.

Actually, Howie, you already do -- along with the rest of America.
You are much better than Eddie Murphy,Laurel and Hardy, and Leslie Nielson combined. Keep up the good work, and then be gone..........

The hitler howler monkey dean, is a scary dictator wannabe. He makes my blood run cold. He plans to destroy FOX to replace it with his propaganda machine along with cbs, nbc, cnn, abc, lat,nyt,wp,bg,.... dean is dangerous to everybody's health, and he is a doctor? Now just imagine if he gets the nomination and he chooses Hitlery as his running mate. All I can say is God help us all and this country

Dean is starting to scare me a bit. Back when he started running, I thought he was amusing in a little tyranically French-poodle sort of way, but now I am started to get worried.
This guy is seriously nuts. That pic of his intense, biting anger that was floating on Drudge the last couple of days was plain spooky. I don't want that guy anywhere near power.

Well, I did a search and didn't find this article and reposted it...oops
So I will restate what I wrote in my post:
I guess Dean has no problem with CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS and all the other leftists media institutions and their blatent bias.
But then, to a leftist, anything is moral, rightous, and "good" so long as only a leftist does it.

hitlery as his running mate... You really know how to scare people. Now, I'm sweating blood. The way things are in the demonrat party, you might be right on the money. It's time to think about joining Marlon Brando in a South Pacific Island.

You're right. This whole thread is a tempest in a teapot. Check out the transcript of the interview--it is pretty obvious from this that Dean was kidding when he said he would break up Fox:
Dec. 1 transcript.Key excerpt:
DEAN: On ideological grounds, absolutely yes, but...
(LAUGHTER)
MATTHEWS: No, seriously.

If it's such a big joke, how come no one's laughing? I certanly am not. I see no humor in Dean's fascist rantings at all.
What I do see is a dangerous man who, like most other leftist, if given power over us "ordinary people" will do his best to destroy our freedoms and leave us vulnerable to the terrors of the world.

Yes, but there is something more to dean that makes him extra scary. I think the guy is totally a slave of his ego. His judgment is controlled by his arrogance(ala the clintons) and could result in the complete destruction of the USA. Also see post #132, where Kaslin justed that dean could make hillary his running mate. Now that would really be hair raising won't it.
To: desertcry
Sorry to have scared you. But with both it sounds likea possibility
