The mainstream media is so focused on US casualties in Iraq, I thought Id provide a little FOX News-type balance. It seems Bushs allies in the war against terrorism are having success capturing terrorists. It took me ½ an hour searching on Google, do you think thats too difficult? Im sure the US allies success will be the lead story on at least one nightly news broadcast or cable TV news program.
Or maybe this is too difficult for them.
Heres the summary:
News24 Africa, 12/1/03 2 Al Qaeda Terrorists Arrested in Kenya The Boston Globe/AP, 12/1/03 3 Al Qaeda Terrorists Arrested in Iraq The Washington Post, 12/1/03 22 Al Qaeda Terrorists Arrested in Syria, Sent to Turkey Al Jazeera, 11/30/03 1 More Al Qaeda Terrorist Arrested in Yemen The Wall Street Journal, 11/29/03 Over 24 Al Qaeda Terrorists Arrested in Kenya The BBC, 12/1/03 5 More Al Qaeda Terrorists Arrested in Europe
That looks like over 50 Terrorists nabbed recently, in addition to the 50+ killed in Iraq by the US military.

Terror suspects caught in Kenya 01/12/2003 14:38 - (SA)
Nairobi, Kenya - Kenyan police have arrested two men in connection with an al-Qaeda car bombing of a coastal hotel and an attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner last year, police said on Monday.
The two men -neither of whom were identified -were arrested on Saturday in the Indian Ocean port of Mombasa and "are being investigated for the attacks", said police spokesperson Jesse Mituki. He could not provide any additional details.
But a police officer in Mombasa, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the two men - a father and son - own a scrap metal yard next to Mombasa's airport and adjacent to a gully where unidentified assailants fired two missiles that narrowly missed an Israeli airliner as it was taking off.

3 Al Qaeda captured, military says By Bassem Mroue, Associated Press, 12/1/2003
MOSUL, Iraq -- American forces have captured three members of Osama bin Laden's terrorist network in northern Iraq, a US military commander said yesterday. If confirmed, it would be the first disclosed detention of Al Qaeda militants in Iraq.
About 10 members of Ansar Al Islam, an Islamic group US officials believe has Al Qaeda links in northern Iraq, also have been arrested by US troops in the past seven months, said Colonel Joe Anderson, commander of the Second Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division.
Asked if troops had captured members of Al Qaeda, Anderson, whose brigade controls Mosul, replied: "Three, two weeks ago."
Anderson said he believed the captured Al Qaeda men were Iraqi nationals who had been transferred to Baghdad for further interrogation.

Syria Sends 22 to Turkey In Probe of Bomb Attacks
By Molly Moore Washington Post Foreign Service Monday, December 1, 2003; Page A14
JERUSALEM, Nov. 30 -- Syria turned over to Turkish authorities 22 people wanted for questioning in connection with four suicide truck bombings in Istanbul, Turkish officials said Sunday.
The arrests of the 22 Turks, who reportedly had fled the country, were announced the day after a Turkish court charged an alleged accomplice in the bombings who was captured trying to cross into neighboring Iran.
The investigation into the double truck bombings on Nov. 15 and 20 has sharpened suspicions that the attacks may be linked to the al Qaeda terrorist network, according to Turkish officials.

NAIROBI (AP)--Kenyan authorities have arrested more than two dozen suspects wanted for two al-Qaida attacks, including people on the Federal Bureau of Investigation's most wanted list, said a senior government official.
The suspects, including several alleged masterminds, are accused of taking part in the 1998 car bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi and the November 2002 attack on a coastal hotel in Mombasa, National Security Minister Christopher Murungaru told the East African Standard newspaper.
Most of the suspects are foreigners and were rounded up by Kenyan authorities and foreign security agencies in a recent antiterror operation, Murungaru told the paper, which gave no other details.

Four London terrorist attacks 'foiled' Extra officers were brought into London for George Bush's visit
Four terrorist attacks on London have been foiled by police and security services, the mayor has said.
Ken Livingstone told a conference: "We have intercepted four attempts that were under plan to actually cause mayhem and take life in this city."
He gave no further details but hinted some of the cases could come to court.
He added that while an "enormous effort" by officers meant London was not a soft target, it was impossible to say no terrorist would get through.

Last week the Metropolitan Police's deputy assistant commissioner, Andy Trotter, said "significant arrests linked to a number of operations" had been made.

Germans seize terror suspect By Mark Huband, Security Correspondent Published: November 28 2003 20:17 | Last Updated: November 28 2003 20:17
German police on Friday arrested the suspected leader of a group allegedly linked to al-Qaeda, who security officials said might have been planning to send fighters from Europe to attack coalition forces in Iraq.
The team of suspected recruiters was unearthed in Italy, where four people were also arrested on Friday, Italian officials said.
The group was allegedly led by Mahjub Abderrazak, known as "the sheikh", who was arrested in the north German city of Hamburg.
Italian police said he might be linked to a Jordanian chemical weapons expert, Abu Musab al-Zarkawi, who heads the al-Tawhid extremist group.
And of course I doubt well see this on US TV news:

Iraqis Rally Against Terrorism By BBC News BBC News | December 1, 2003
Among the demonstrators were relatives of some of those killed in recent bombings in Baghdad and elsewhere.
There was a heavy Iraqi police presence as the protesters marched through the city centre, with American military helicopters hovering overhead.
In the latest attack, a US soldier was killed when rebels shelled a military base in the northern town of Mosul.
"Yes to Iraq, no to terrorism," chanted protesters, who gathered at Baghdad's al-Firdos square.
