Giving thanks for the service of the McNutt family, and adding an amen to that beautiful prayer, TexOkie. The awesome beauty of the pictures adds power to the words, and is a visual reminder of the greatness of our Creator.

Sending up additional prayers for Samesha and all of those serving on foreign soil. May God bless and keep them and return them safely home.

Special thanks to Kevin for his long and continued commitment to our liberty, and God grant him a happy homecoming and smooth readjustment.

Thanks, TEXOKIE. My garden will never be as pretty as 'those' flowers are, LOL, but I keep trying.

"...I keep trying."
LOL! It's all we can do, isnt it?? We have a few roses which were lovely this past year, and we have a few other pretty things, but let's put it this way...gardening isnt my calling! If they are beautiful, it is because they fend for themselves and the Father above is the One watching out over them! LOL! I may water and help out a little bit, but I havent practiced the art of gardening very much.

I haven't posted in awhile, however my thoughts are on the troops every day.

May God watch over them and bring them home safely to us.

May God make His presence known to them with a gentle touch and a mighty guiding force.

God bless you, our American heroes. Thank you for allowing me to raise my children in freedom. It is you who allow my children their birth right, and it is you who honor my ancestors who fought and died for freedom.

You mean everything to me and my family. I pray for your safe and quick return.

Didn't you write one time about getting a Gloxinia, like the one pictured, at a 'sad' time, and that it had continued living and blooming for you?

That came into my mind when you posted that lovely picture.

We bring before you two of your servants, Samesha and Kevin, who have made long term commitments to serving the Holy Cause of Freedom in the US Air Force. We are grateful for their service and their sacrifices for this nation and for us.

Amen and Amen! Thank you Samesha and Kevin. God Bless!

Yes! You have a good memory, potlatch! When my daddy died, some sweet soul sent our family a beautiful gloxinia plant which came to me upon our distribution of plants and arrangements after the memorial service. That funny little plant has more lives than a cat! Right now it seems to be in a down mode, but I expect that later this spring, God willing, it will revive.

Before my daddy's funeral, I had never been acquainted with gloxinias. That particular plant was a very particular comfort to me because of its beauty and the fuzzy leaves. I tend to be fairly tactile, so a plant which is inviting to the touch holds special appeal to me! As you have perhaps guessed, they are among my favorite flowers now!

McGavin999 is requesting "prayers for soldiers of the 3rd ACR who will be on the last convoy out of Iraq (sometime in the next couple of days). And could you please add a special prayer for Chris...?"

We are honored, McGavin999, to pray together for Chris and these who are on their last convoy out of Iraq sometime in the next couple of days.

Beloved Heavenly Father,

We bring to you this day our concerns and desire for your attention to Chris and the 3rd ACR as they are traveling on their last convoy out of Iraq sometime in the next few days.

Father, we petition you for the safety of these young people. We call for perfect security arrangements for this group of soldiers. Shatter, confuse, and bind any and all plans of the enemy to attack them while they are enroute. Cloak them with a triple ring of angels of invisibility, invulnerability, and invincibility around them, impervious to all which would harm them.

Clear the roads ahead of them. Let the highways and byways they travel be in good repair. Let the tires and engines and all vehicle parts be in good working order. Let the parts vulnerable to sand damage be protected so that no vehicle must stop and thereby place its passengers and others in the convoy at risk.

Father, this which we call forth for Chris and the 3rd ACR, we call forth for all of our troops who are traveling this day and in the days to come in all means of transportation. We also ask that a portion of our prayers may be used for those things which we have not thought to include in our prayer. Extend to all our troops safety and protection according to the need of the hour. Let each of them have around them one of our prayer blankets to serve as a supplemental armor of Light.

We thank you and place our trust and all our hope in you, our own Father above.

Amen
